Welcome to an action rogue-like! The aspect of playing with friends is a great concept that I hope to try soon. The developer is not only friendly but appreciates feedback. I like the updates they have been pushing out and hope to dive back into the game again soon. I can recommend this if you are looking for a game to play with some buddies online or local or solo.

Nightfeed is a survivors game that is a homage to 90's horror/grim-dark/urban fantasy tropes. Whether that is intentional or not is anyone's guess but I imagine that if James O'Barr's The Crow,Anne Rice's Lestat,Marvel's Blade,Ghost-rider,Underworld's Selene,Hell-Boy,Blood-Rayne,Chaos comic's Lady Death,Rob Zombie,The Under-taker,Vampirella,and Image's Spawn were hidden characters in this title noone would bat an eye. If you played WRF studios other games you'll recognize some of the cast. There's a vampire gunslinger bounty hunter,wandering werewolf,a few grave-digger/hunter types,some cryptid oddities,and even a sexy demoness as well as a duo of living dead girls to round things out. The characters look good which is something improved on over some of WRF's other titles. Most of the starring cast are styling and profiling with no one looking like the fashion disaster victim of cheap second-hand thrift-store merchandise. One might argue there's a time and place for down to earth modest threads. However,when you are a creature of the night whom hunts other deadly monsters for sport your fan-club demands a certain level of stylish drip when you are out on the prowl! As survivors games go this one throws in a few nifty editions. As in you can actually jump around! This gives you more tactical movement options when hordes of nasties are closing in on your six. Beyond that you randomly pick your favorite powers then compliment them by increasing their range,longevity,speed,and damage output. "Relics" likewise can give you greater protection,make you more resistant to certain kinds of damage,double your exp. gain per kill,broaden the ratio of your orb absorption rate,enhance the potency of healing items,and increase your movement speed. Each map eventually reveals its own secrets and missions wherein completing special tasks can unlock new locations and collectible trophies. Characters and everything else is gotten with gold you earn in-game. While it's true none of this innovates the genre to a new level it is done competently whilst having enough of its' own unique personality to make it well worth $8.00 or cheaper! Pros +Asset flips be damned,Nightfeed still looks pretty good overall! +Dark horror urban fantasy spaghetti western trappings will draw you right in! +Plenty of maps and characters. +Great Halloween party game. +Respectable bestiary. (From demons to dinosaurs!) +Can finally "jump" in a survivors game! + Red-storms are an interesting spin on the circles of encroaching enemies in other survivors-games that try to box you in! Remember to stay within the eye of the whirling dervish of destruction lest you regret it dearly! Cons -Despite certain relics and abilities being complimentary of each other there does not seem to be the same complexity with build varieties found in other survivors-likes. If there are synergies and fusions I have not breached that wall of entry just yet. - Yet another drop in the bucket within an over-saturated genre. This is likely why Nightfeed didn't immediately become an immediate indie hit. Not because it's a bad game but because this particular road is one often tread upon. Seems as if every dev and their grand-mother has taken a stab at this particular formula! -Animations of certain characters are disjointed and janky. -Giving the main characters more distinctly individualistic personality traits,lines of interesting dialogue,and unique vocal tones would enhance the overall package considerably. Suggestion to the dev Nightfeed already has an isometric overhead POV. Why not make a Blood-Lust action rpg similar to Diablo and Torchlight in the future using these same resources along with some newer additions? Or just throw in a few more hawt attractive other-worldly dames and cool spooky crypt-kickers. I'd be smitten either way.

Really solid game so far. Highly recommend giving it a go. Its a bit lag heavy multiplayer, but so far, that is my only main complaint. Looking forward to see how this game grows and evolves overtime!

Fun and cool. Easier than most of the auto-attack survivor games but sometimes I just wanna play something that is fun and this is good for that. I like the different characters.
