Ed & Edda: GRAND PRIX – Racing Champions

Imagine releasing your kart racer right in between the first new Mario Kart in 11 years and the first new Sonic Racing game in 6 years. It was done this way to coincide with the German/UK produced cartoon movie "Grand Prix of Europe," but still, ouch. The game also isn't doing itself any favors by being rather expensive for what's on offer. It [i]is[/i] a good kart racing game with rather nice looking and creative tracks, decently fast and well-balanced racing, a variety of modes, and a persistent levelling system that allows you to unlock more parts and cosmetics as you level up. So all the gameplay parts are taken care of. The problem is there are only 12 tracks here, which may sound like a decent amount, but not when you find out they're all roughly 60 second tracks. I blew through the first two modes of the tournament race (8 tracks with 3 laps per track) in maybe 20-30 minutes before going to try the other modes (free race, time trial, and one where you have to go through gates to collect points). So in total you might be able to see the entire game in an hour or so. That's a bit light for the price. Arcade styled games are always lighter on content and heavier on replayability, but unless you want to keep grinding to level up and unlock new tires or car colors, I can't see this being played for more than a couple hours at most. If they could deliver another 4-8 tracks, this would be a very solid kart racer that was just released at an unfortunate time. As it stands now it's just a little too little for the $40 asking price. 7.5/10

Es & Edda Grand Prix ist eine schöne alternative zu Mario Kart. Perfekt um Freunde loszuwerden und zu Feinden zu machen - Kappa! Ich hoffe, dass da noch viel kommt. hat mir so schon gut gefallen und hat noch viel Luft und Raum für Zukünftige Erweiterungen!

Aber genau richtig weil flüssiges Spiel und gemeinsames Lachen wichtiger ist als technisches Muskelspiel. Super Rennspiel! Da kommt richtiges Mario Kart feeling auf, mit netten kleinen zusätzlichen Gimmicks. Sicher auch cool für Parties!

Top Empfehlung meinerseits!!! Ich hatte wirklich viel Spaß dabei, mit meinen Freunden die Strecken runterzufahren und sich beim Rennen zu fetzen. Besonders begeistert hat mich das Design der Strecken – sie sind spannend und gut durchdacht, was das Fahren noch unterhaltsamer macht. Außerdem wecken die Charaktere bei mir schöne Kindheitserinnerungen an den Europapark, was das Ganze noch nostalgischer macht. Insgesamt eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich jedem empfehlen kann!

tolles Spiel soll ja kein Mario Kart Spiel sein aber so ähnlich eher was für Kinder gedacht aber macht echt Fun :)

Ich finde es super, dass es Spiele zu Filmen gibt. Meine Mädels sind begeisterte Mario Kart Fans und haben sich sehr schnell in diesem Spiel zurecht gefunden. Definitiv ein sehr netter Zeitvertreib!

Klasse Spiel für eine schnelle Runde! Europa-Park mag ich eh und das ist ein Spiel, dass ich mit der ganzen Family zocken kann.

Grafisch kein Mario Kart, aber charmant und mit Liebe gemacht. Besonders im Multiplayer ein echter Spaß!
