About

In News Tower, dive into the chaos of 1930s New York in a management tycoon game where you build and manage your own newspaper.
From the Great Depression to the brink of World War II every Sunday brings a new deadline, and every article is a strategic decision. Between editorial dilemmas, newsroom breakdowns, and political pressure, you’ll shape the future of your newspaper to start your media empire!

Start with a blank floor and shape your newsroom from the ground up. As your newspaper grows, unlock new levels and transform each one into a fully functional hub of journalism. From printing stations and compositing desks to the legal corner for damage control, every workstation is key to keep the presses running.
Smart layout choices: walls, elevators, pneumatic tubes directly impact how efficiently your team works under pressure. And because morale matters too, add coffee machines, posters, and the essential indoor green plant to ensure your employees’ well-being!

Reporters, photographers and janitors without forgetting the unexpendable ads salesperson… Lead a diverse team across 30+ unique job roles each with their own traits, needs, and expertise.
Juggle hunger, focus and logistics to maximize productivity. Unlock dozens of upgrades from gramophone to slot machines, to turn your dingy tower into a prestigious workspace. A happy newsroom is a productive newsroom, especially when Sunday is always just around the corner.

Each week begins with one goal: getting your edition ready for Sunday’s deadline. Assign leads to your reporters, choose your editorial approach, influence public perception through your chosen tone and tags, and compose your newspaper.
Cover key topics like Crime, Politics, or Sports, and refine your story’s angle to match your editorial line. Well-researched articles or eye-grabbing headlines, will you aim for respect or reach?
Every choice impacts your readers’ perception, reactions, and sales. Nail the mix and profits soar or miss the mark and you risk backlash, lawsuits, or courtesy visits from the mob...

Four major factions partake in the city’s power struggle: the Mayor, the Mafia, the Military (in 1.0), and High Society. They’ll push their own agendas and offer shady deals in exchange for cash, influence, exclusive rewards, and vital new connections across the Big Apple. Whose truth will you print, and whose secrets will you bury?
Not everyone is in favor of freedom of the press…

Publish your newspaper across NYC districts, from Harlem to Wall Street. Each borough has its own reader profiles, preferences, and rewards. To grow your subscriber base, tailor stories to local tastes while staying ahead of two aggressive rivals: the Empire Observer and Jersey Beacon. They’ll steal your precious scoops but by targeting the right interests, you can win their audiences and become New York’s most influential publisher.

I loved this game!! I hope it gets an expansion with one more decade throughout the 40s because I still have a lot to conquer with my paper, The Chapter! Learned a lot and got to manage so many things at once, it's so addictive! Recommend 100%
My almost THIRTY-YEAR Sim Tower (Or Yoot Tower) itch has finally been scratched!! Extremely satisfying mix of News Simulation and a fun little puzzle of organizing your paper every week. My only gripe after about 40 hours of playing is that the game saves at strange places. You'll load up a game and it will be running the clock at the final hour of the last week. Pause the damn game if you do that!! Also, get some more jazz music or get a longer song for the menu. 9.5/10 so far.
I liked the 20 first hours, I've decided I would try to conquer the whole map and it took me 20hours more. But the second half was slightly boring and I felt the endgame was lacking of polish. But I liked the challenge (ive lost the first time just after tutorial as it is difficult to know at first how to spend your money and do some profits. Anyway, I recommend it and I hope there will be a second one Graphics were cool too ! [ im not sure how random it was but once i looted one industrial tapistery, it solved mostly everything, might be too op]
Love it :) at first glance seems to look like an idle mobile game, but its far from it! It got a lot of depth hidden in the details of the map. A lot to explore
Super fun tycoon game that scratches a lot of itches. A lot deeper than at first glance, and a very fun and tight game play loop. Definitely worth the price, and there's a demo if you want to check it out first.
It;s a fun and relaxing game can be challenging, but a real enjoyable management game
Gutes Spiel
News Tower is one of the best-designed management sims I've played in years. What sets it apart isn't just running a newspaper — it's the way the game turns your headquarters into a genuine architectural and organizational puzzle. Every decision about where to put a department, how to route a story from a reporter's desk to the press, how to keep transporters from bottlenecking your production line — it all matters, and the game rewards you for actually thinking like a building designer, not just a tycoon optimizing spreadsheets. The spatial optimization is the heart of it. You're constantly balancing floor space, staff placement, elevator and pneumatic tube routing, and department adjacency, and the systems are deep enough that there's always another layer to refine — even after 14+ floors, I'm still finding ways to shave time off a scoop's path from telegraph to print. It's rare for a game to make logistics this satisfying without ever feeling like busywork. And on top of all that mechanical depth, the game nails its period. The newsroom bureaus, the specialty desks, the telegraph rooms, the pneumatic tube networks — it all captures a genuinely loving pastiche of early-to-mid 20th century newspaper history without ever feeling like a history lecture. It's atmospheric in a way that makes the optimization feel meaningful instead of abstract — you're not just min-maxing a factory, you're building a living institution. Highly polished, clearly made with real care, and endlessly replayable if you're the type who likes redesigning your systems as new tech unlocks. Easy recommendation for anyone who likes tycoon/sim games with real depth. A true Creative Sandbox mode is my biggest wish — what currently exists feels more like an endless mode than genuine sandbox freedom to build without financial and objective pressure. I'd love the ability to just design and experiment with tower layouts without those constraints hanging over the process. I'd also love some optimization tweaks around transporter and editor behavior with the pneumatic tube system — there are moments where staff pathing around tubes doesn't feel as efficient as the rest of the game's logistics design, and tightening that up would make an already great system feel airtight. Purely as a wishlist item: I would absolutely love to see this team take a crack at a hotel management game with the same spatial optimization DNA. The way News Tower turns floor planning and staff logistics into a genuinely satisfying puzzle feels like it would translate beautifully to a hotel setting. None of this takes away from what's already here — this is a team that clearly sweats the details, and I'd happily support whatever they build next.
