[/quote] NeuroNautes tries to sell itself on a “weird sci-fi/psy” hook: military context, a protagonist who can switch bodies depending on the situation, and a kind of psychological mystery with tense relationships and some violence. On paper, that premise could be interesting. In practice, it’s just… not well executed. The biggest problem is inconsistency. The artworks feel low-budget and unbalanced, like cheap anime style done without the finesse. Some scenes look okay, others look rough, and the overall presentation never feels polished. Audio is also a letdown. The music is “fine” at best, and there’s a vocal track where the singer genuinely sounds off-key, which pulls you out of the moment instead of adding atmosphere. Mature content exists and you can choose censored/uncensored, but even uncensored it feels incomplete. A lot of the sexual content is implied or framed in a way where you “get the idea” without actually seeing much of the act. It ends up feeling half-committed, so it’s not great as an adult game and not strong enough as a story VN either. There are game overs, so it’s not totally brain-dead, but it’s still a VN with straightforward choices. Technically it runs fine — but that’s about the only clean win. And then there’s the price. Around 7.39€ for this package? No. Too expensive for the quality and the amount of payoff. If it was a cheap curiosity, maybe. At this price, I can’t recommend it.
