I like neopets
At this time I unfortunately cannot recommend the steam version currently. Without the physical goodies from the console versions, there is no reason this should be more than $10-15 tops on steam. Games aren't explained well, there are some game breaking bugs still (just released so sort of expected), and you have to beat story mode before you can freely choose which games to play. Wait until it goes on sale for less than $20 and has the bugs fixed before buying imo.
I am glad I bought this but at the same time this collection makes me so sad. I am happy to report my favorite games are a part of this collection, but they ruined two of my top three favorites. They, absolutely, butchered Turmac Roll. They completely changed the game. You only control jumping. You can not control your speed. You can run into many objects without dying, instead you are on a time limit. The berry system is completely changed, in a bad way. Kass Basher is not functioning like it should. The wind speed has practically no affect on how far the Kass goes. Playing the story to unlock arcade mode is not fun. The music will play for so long in a game and then it'll just quit for a bit and then start playing again randomly. The new mini game is a lame guitar hero rip off rhythm type game but after the first song it's music that doesn't line up with the buttons. Graphics are alright. Overall not great. I cannot in good conscious recommend this game.
I love getting to play some of the classic Neopets minigames on a modern system. I've not been able to complete the "story" mode as my game keeps locking up when I try to complete a game of Destruct-o-match and I'm unable to continue past the submission menu at the end of the game. I'm very disappointed that a game I paid $25 for has such a massive lock-up.
Okay so like, this is tricky because I think I'm outrageously biased. I love Neopets, and yes it's buggy, and the game selection isn't my favourite in the world, BUT it's waaaaay easier to play than trying to get the damn games to work on mobile. The fact that you can Neopass your daily scores through this game genuinely makes it worthwhile imo.
I bought this for the nostalgia, but its full of bugs. Controls frequently act up, issues with spelling within the game, and overall just seeming like it didn't go through the amount of QA it should have. If you still play Neopets, you may enjoy this because with Neopass you can transfer your scores to your account instead of playing through a browser, but outside that I'm not sure it would be worthwhile, especially not at the current price point.
first off the main mini game the gem heist is nearly unbeatable to where i tried for 4 hours and couldnt beat it so im unable to unlock anymore areas, requesting a refund
The game is quite expensive for very little playtime. There are a lot of bugs. There's no in-game rewards to be found. This is the first time I'm able to buy something Neopets related because there's no merchandise to be found where I live, but I regret spending my money.
Was really excited to get this game, and the first few levels went great, However, the Shifting Sands tile match game is completely broken after a couple of rounds, with images suddenly overlapping each other. Still playing this game, so will update if I find further issues, but otherwise enjoyable nostalgia. I suppose we can only expect a few bugs in the first release!
