this game makes my eyes hurt and i regularly play rhythm games 10/10
Visually appealing, poor balancing. The worst part of the game is the portion you'll experience the most: The synergy system. The synergy system works like every Survivor style game, where two items transform into a more powerful hybrid of the two items. You are given 3 choices per level-up, and four re-rolls that only affect one card per use. The game requires you to memorize which power-ups you need to make the Synergy, and the synergy system requires a total of 4 powers to maximize the effect. The problem being is that most of the synergies aren't inherently logical, and those 4 cards you want compete with 20 cards in total. You'll often get crap draws and need to pivot to practical damage multipliers. It ends up making most play throughs the same: Fail to get a unique synergy, grab generic damage. I beat every stage and the last achievements involved lucking my way through the synergy system. Not worth my time, nor yours.

i loved the part where i got enough upgrades to turn it into an idle game (until the enemies launched themselves out of railguns)

Pretty fun, simple shooter for the price. Took me 12.7 hours to explorer everything and 100% the game. The synergies system is really cool, but it would have been nice to have something that explains it as well as some other features like being able to dash and what burning cards does in a tutorial or smtn. The only problem that I have with the game is that it is super unbalanced with some of the synergies literally playing the game for you, and some of them being completely useless. The tanks that you play as are also not very balanced, and it is generally better to go with one that has a lot of health and that does a lot of damage over one with quick fire rate. All the base tanks are decent (other than the multishot one), but the black market tanks all seem too gimmicky or like worse versions of the base game tanks. For example, there is a tanky black market one that is basically the same as the base high health one except it does half the damage except its dash deletes everything it runs into. In my experience, this just makes the black market tanks seem pretty meh overall, which is my general feeling about the game's balance as a whole. I did notice some weird stuff while messing around as well. The black market tank that can charm enemies seems to have an unintended interaction when used on the wall boss that is unkillable. They sort of just stick to you like they are charmed, but they will still be hostile and can one shot you. Another weird thing that I noticed about this "boss" (idk if it is a boss considering it's unkillable) is that the black market tank that deletes stuff with its dash will just instantly die when dashing into it (which is probably for the best). Speaking of the dashy tank though, it doesn't seem to actually do damage (I never noticed it procing the leach chip) and instead just insta kills anything it dashes into (including bosses), which I found to be a weird design choice. Also Idk if it was just really bad luck, but it took me like 5 runs of getting to lvl 50 before I could end up getting whatever the dash synergy achievement was. This seemed odd to me just because it is usually pretty easy to get the other lvl 2 synergies in a run before hitting the 10 min mark. Idk if it was just bad luck or smthn, but it took forever to get it, and the synergy was terrible anyway :[ Overall the game is a fun experience, and worth it even if it is pretty unbalanced. The game looks pretty, it is satisfying to play, and I enjoyed the music and sound effects.
My issue is with the basically 'silent' ending of the game development. I understand moving on to other projects but to release an experimental then just abandon without posting anything more than a note in the discussions isn't the way to do it.
How is this game even remotely fair. Most of the time, trying to build synergies isn't even possible due to dumb RNG. Enemies are completely unbalanced and move way to fast even for the early waves. Upgrades are absolutely useless since they've been nerfed so they don't even do anything anymore. Anytime I watch a streamer or youtuber play this game, they get all there synergies right away, yet when I play I don't get anything. Out of the hundreds of games I've played, I've gotten maybe 10 synergies before the boss would spawn in. And that is just one before I kill the boss. Not only that, the boss mechanics are completely unbalanced and need some fixing. I don't understand why most of the weapons had to be nerfed. I think that was completely uneccessary and probably won't play this game until stuff gets patched. Seriously, good game design, but RNG and everything else is dumb. Waste of my time playing this game. Tried playing the game again and same issue. Kinda getting sick of devs rushing games and not doing any sort of testing. Enemies way to strong. I just got one it by a little guy out of nowhere in one of the maps and am very angry that a bug like that has to be a thing in the game. Seriously fix the game. It's in a trash state. Tried to play it again. Stop sucking creators off and giving them special priveleges. Unfair and unbalanced game. upgrades are too expensive. Seems devs care about money and not the well being of other people. Seriously stop helping creators and make yourselves useful. You give people the wrong idea of games by helping them cheat to win
greeat game :D
more updates!
Fun game that feels satisfying. Devs have done a good job of making sure the early grinding isn't too bad, and have the difficulty scaling on most of the levels in a good spot.
