July 1st. What a night. I remember that day like it was yesterday. The year - 2026. Amidst a heatwave, the only option was to stay inside. I remember paying 0.99 cents to play this game after being referred by a friend of mine. He said "This is the worst game I have ever played." The tantalizing allure of such a notion - it roped me in. A promise of such a harsh creation was worth nearly a dollar. He told me that he learned of the game from a YouTuber. He said there was drama regarding this game. I chose to disregard this drama. I chose not to look into. I wanted to give a brutally honest review - nothing but the truth. After all, "No man is fit to be a judge in his own cause." - Edward Coke. I knew coming into this review that bad things had been said. I cleared my mind. Before starting, I meditated for exactly 2 hours to ensure my chi was preserved at the highest level before entering the game - a ritual I always perform before reviewing a game. I let every notion or bias about this game I had obtained through my friend leave my spirit - a cleanse of sort. After a short download, the game was ready to be opened. I felt a eagerness, similar to that of an eager child's on preparing to open presents on Christmas morning - a feeling that so deeply satiated my soul and came before any of my game reviews. As soon as I opened the game, my ears perked at the car alarm like music. I wondered who made the decision to put ear-piercing music into this game, but again, I saved my true inner critic for the gameplay itself. As soon as I was loaded in, I was greeted by a eager, yet annoying voice. Yet again, nearly ear-piercing. The voice spoke about being in a test. The dialect in which he spoke perturbed me. It's as if they decided a voice actor would be too expensive, so they instead found a random individual from an absolutely random city and placed him in front of a microphone which lacked any for of pop protection. Nevertheless, I ventured on. To say the most while writing the least; the game: riddled with bugs, puzzles without any guidance, and puzzles that frankly felt like a waste of time. Often, you could jump through doors and solid objects, usually by accident. The physics of certain items either accelerated your character to mock speeds or placed such a slow on the character as if a ball and chain had been placed on his ankle. The puzzles might have been worse. There was no true guidance, and the puzzles towards the end of the game were simply erratic and unclear. There was a maze which required a navigation to the end - a hard feat on its own, but then multiple laps back into the maze to find the code for the ending door. There was a cube puzzle in which you were told to form a diamond through tiny cards placed on a table in the corner of the room - nearly impossible to truly notice and pay attention to. There were a few more puzzles similar to this: solvable - but just a waste of time. If you have a dollar - invest it, go buy candy, maybe a steam game from a sale. If you really want this game, I encourage you to buy it, but please never say you weren't warned and remember refunding is an option to a certain point. Personally, I cannot recommend this game as it was simply draining of any joy I had in my body - to be instead replaced by anger and rage. If you like buggy, incomplete, nearly unsolvable puzzles, this game may be for you. Instead I encourage you to go find an extra dollar and buy Portal on sale. At the time of this review, it is $1.99. This game clearly took inspiration, so if you think you will like this game, you will likely actually enjoy Portal.

Hard
booooo
there's like, maybe a handful of obstacles in this game that one might consider puzzles. none of them were clever nor challenging nor fun. movement and physics are awfully crude. it's ironic that logna blue has the gall to criticize the games of others while defending this game of his with such pride. there's simply has no core premise beyond being a unity practice project, which is fine, but it doesn't belong on steam and especially not for a price.
not that good tbh, not great in graphics and very buggy, softlocks on literally every single part, certain parts literally unprogressable and it's too "trial-and-error" for me. as someone who likes trial and error gameplay, i am not a fan. buy this game if you want to spend the most likely 2 hour gameplay due to all the trial and error (and softlocks). only good thing i have to say about it is that Logna Blue (the goat) made this game. he's a good youtuber and is an overall chill dude (not talking about the Great Logna Blue crashout) and he's also pretty cool. i personally wouldn't recommend this game for anyone with a skill issue or someone who goes exploring too much and finds too many softlocks (like me). to anyone reading, if you buy this game. fine. its a nice game to play... but good luck.
My entire experience with this game can be summed down to a paragraph. I bought this knowing about the apparent issues with the game and the dev's crashout, but I wanted to see it for myself. There are basically 0 options, no story beyond what seems like ARG-bait that I simply couldn't begin to care about. The movement is the hottest ass I've controlled in a platformer in a very long time. I tried to do the first level, in which the rocket launcher kept launching me through the wall, into a deathbox, and then crashed my game. Twice in a row. Charging money for this is insulting, fortunately the game is so short you couldn't possibly not get a refund off of this. That all being said, respect to the developer for putting something out there and apologizing for the crashout.
This may arguably be one of the worst games I have ever played First of all THIS GAME IS A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KNOCK OFF of Portal and DaniDev's games (specifically Karlson) This game tries SO HARD to be Portal even the guy who talks to you is trying to be glados but glados was actually funny and interesting unlike this guy Second of all this game is a complete ripoff of Karlson. Like even the enemy in the game looks exactly like the one from Karlson this developer even stole the gun reload animations like is there any creativity left in the world? Third of all this game is a broken mess NOTHING BUT LIKE NOTHING WORKS I got stuck in walls, enemies shot me through walls and this game softlocks you every chance it gets like its a softlock simulator at this point This game should be called Larp instead of NEON because of how much it larps DaniDev and Portal My advice: don t buy this Even one euro is too much Fastest refund ever :) I know this is probably the first game this developer made but can you at least try to make something unique and be creative instead of stealing other peoples ideas?
NEON is an absolute joke, and is made by one of the most untalented yet arrogant developer I have ever seen in my entire life, who apparently made a name for themselves by criticizing other indie games on YouTube. This game is genuinely not worth anyone's time. You would be better off playing any asset flip slop game on Steam, as it is guaranteed to entertain you more than this game could ever dream to. This game cost $0.99 and I still feel like I got ripped off. Taking that $0.99 and flushing it down the toilet would be a better use of your money than buying this game, because watching that money get swirled into the drain is genuinely more entertaining than playing this colossal piece of trash. The best way to describe this game is that it thinks it is way more clever than it actually is. The writing tries as hard as possible to capture the comedic and sarcastic tone of Portal, but it just ends up sounding like something a cringy basement dwelling Redditor would say (the developer most likely is one). The story is also completely nonsensical, and is a compilation of Portal's plot beats combined together into a story so incoherent, unoriginal, and uninteresting that it is hard to even call it a story. Gameplay is somehow even worse than the story and writing. The movement system is horrendous, and the physics are somehow even worse. It is also extremely easy to softlock the game, which forces you to replay the entire game all over again. This game is made in Unity, which has a built in physics system that is incredibly easy to use even for the most amateurish beginners, so the fact that they even managed to mess up the physics this badly shows just how incompetent this developer is. The artstyle is also nonexistent, the entire game's levels are made up of untextured default cubes, and any original assets the developer actually made themselves are barely textured as well. The only scene that actually even comes close to looking like anything is the credits scene, but even that looks awful. Alongside Portal, this game also steals from Karlson by DaniDev, with the cube robots with a green / red text smiley face. The mechanics are also conveniently taken from Karlson as well, with the grapple gun (which I guarantee the developer just followed the DaniDev tutorial on, because it looks the exact same), and the shotgun recoil jump, which NEON reskins into a rocket launcher jump. As a game developer myself, it is truly unbelievable that the developer of NEON looked at this game and thought it was good enough to be released. If I made something like this, I would be ashamed to even let people play it. This game is awful even by the standards of someone's first game, which makes it even more laughable that the developer made a long video essay criticizing other indie games, just to turn around and create something as bad as this. If you haven't played this game before, consider yourself lucky. NEON is truly one of the worst, and most unenjoyable games I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. The developer should be ashamed of themselves for somehow managing to create a game that is worse than Garten of Banban. Such an achievement shows without a shadow of a doubt that this developer is immensely gifted in making the most unenjoyable, borderline unplayable games of all time.
I didnt enjoy playing this game about 80% of the time. Its got good moments but its very very rough around the edges. For example, in room 6 (I think) I go softlocked and had to restart after about 10 minutes which was very annoying. Its really short which definitely doesnt help the enjoyability and the puzzles arent great, a few are either just irritating or near impossible without a little outside help. The physics objects and general look of the game arent too appealing either but I do understand why the wall textures came out the way they did (the creator explained it in a video on his channel). Overall, I personally didnt enjoy the game that much as it has its issues but, for a first game made by a solo dev in what I believe is a pretty short time frame, its pretty good. lots of stuff to improve but also lots of stuff that, with a little tweaking, could be a big stepping stone in making a different game/some kind of update to this one. All of that said I love supporting indie developers, even if their games arent exactly my cup of tea, so while this game may not be too good in my opinion, I still recommend you at least give it a try.
