NeoBox is a Neo Geo player for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, with the emulator built in. No setup, no .ini files, no command line. Add your ROM folder and play — with save states, a real-time CRT shader, controller support, and per-game memory cards. Buy it once and it's yours on all three. ONE APP, THREE SCREENS The same emulator core, the same library, and the same features on every device — built natively for each, not stretched to fit. On iPhone and iPad, on-screen controls appear when you need them and step aside the moment a controller connects. A LIBRARY THAT ORGANIZES ITSELF Point NeoBox at a folder of MAME-format ZIPs and it scans, identifies, and organizes every cartridge it recognizes. It runs the official MVS and AES catalog, including the late cartridges with custom encryption that broke other emulators. • Timing that matches the original hardware • Runs at the Neo Geo's own refresh rate, not a generic 60Hz • Clean, resampled audio • Native Metal rendering REAL-TIME CRT SHADER Scanlines, an RGB aperture mask, gentle curvature, and a soft vignette, rendered live. Turn it on globally or per game — or keep the picture sharp and pixel-perfect. SAVE STATES THAT GET OUT OF YOUR WAY On iPhone and iPad, pause and save to one of three slots per game, and pick up exactly where you left off with Continue. On Mac, F5 quicksaves and F7 loads, with numbered slots on Cmd+1–9. PER-GAME MEMORY CARDS Each cartridge keeps its own card — settings, high scores, and saves — just like the real hardware. See it or reset it from the game's detail screen. CONTROLLERS AND TOUCH Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro, and MFi controllers work with zero configuration; two pads give you two players. On iPhone and iPad, touch controls lay out the Neo Geo's A B C D buttons in the arcade diamond. On Mac, the keyboard works alongside any pad, and every binding can be changed. PER-GAME SETTINGS Every cartridge can override the defaults: system (AES or MVS), BIOS region (Japan, USA, Europe), aspect ratio, shader, and volume. GAME CENTER (OPT-IN) Share your hours played, credits inserted, and titles explored on Game Center leaderboards and achievements — across all your devices. It's off until you say yes. ABOUT ROMS NeoBox is an emulator frontend — you provide your own Neo Geo ROMs and BIOS files (neogeo.zip). NeoBox does not ship with any ROMs and does not download them. Standard MAME ZIP sets and .neo files are supported. CREDITS NeoBox embeds the Geolith Neo Geo emulator core by Rupert Carmichael (BSD-3-Clause), with additional credit to ymfm (Aaron Giles, BSD-3-Clause) for YM2610 sound emulation.
