NEO: The World Ends with You

This is my favorite game of all time. Bar none. I don’t know how I’ve gone this long without leaving a review for NEO. It’s so well done in so many ways from the art style, the dialogue, the story, the characters, to the combat. I own this game on every platform that it currently exists (PC, PS4, Switch) and have played it from start to finish over five times. Square Enix has created something so wholly beautiful and unique with the TWEWY games and it’s truly too bad that they don’t seem to see it that way. If you’ve ever even considered picking up the TWEWY series, I cannot recommend it higher. I’ve laughed, cried, screamed, and smiled from ear-to-ear getting to know this story and its wonderful characters. Please release more TWEWY Square Enix!

this has gotta be up there as one of my new favorite games of all time. after somehow avoiding spoilers for years, experiencing this game blind has really made me appreciate this niche little corner of square's catalog even more than I already did. the music is top notch, the gameplay is enjoyable throughout, the story is great, the characters are entertaining, and if this is the last game in this series we get, it absolutely ended on a high note. I really wish more people knew about this and the original game, it's become one of my favorite series of all time and is severely underrated

As other Square Enix game, absolutely beautiful game with an amazing art. Pros : - Pretty interesting combat - Amazing visuals - Pretty interesting story with some plots that I didn't expect at all - Voice acting is pretty good for each character - Insane variety of different pins to be used in combat Cons (kinda) : - A little weird combat balancing, some battles in late game are way too long, especially when sometimes you have to fight multiple battles in a row, can get a bit stale. Unfortunately I never played the prequel (The World Ends With You), but even without that you will understand the lore largely in this game.

Neo: The World Ends with you is a great Action RPG. If you like the original TWEWY, you will love what this game has to offer. The story while maybe being a step down is still really good, and I find all of the characters to be likeable and bounce off eachother great. The combat system is really fun and entertaining once you get some more party members and better pins, and the music is top tier. I would rank it second only to Persona soundtracks, it is that good. One thing I was a little iffy on was how the game seemed to want to drag itself out longer than maybe it really needed to be. I think they could have cut an entire week out of the final game and the pacing would be better for it. But that's a small complaint, and I'm still happy with the game we got. I would give Neo: The World Ends With You a 8.5/10 score. This series deserves more love, it's really something special.

已通关，收集成就中 剧情：跟前作高度相关（这里的前作特指ns上的最终混音版，只玩过nds和手机版依旧有些地方看不懂，没有ns可以看视频云一下，我就是这样的，啥时候把带新剧情的ns版移植到pc上就好了），没有前作那么惊艳，结局机器降神（迫真），不过也还行 画面音乐：画风和前作一样非常潮，你往建筑的方向走会看见它们从地上爬起来，像鱼眼镜头一样，可惜没法调视角；bgm大多是全新的，前作的bgm需要去商店买，而且只能在菜单里放，相比前作的战斗曲，本作的战斗曲有些是比较伤感的[spoiler] 毕竟前作死亡/消失的基本都是陌生人，本作倒是有很多不得不和熟人战斗的情况 [/spoiler] 食物：美妙世界系列的食物系统是永久加人物面板的，所以都有一定的限制，前作是绑定现实时间（前期）；本作是必须全队一起吃东西（不能定向养成某角色） 战斗：这个游戏最大的缺点，战斗系统很有特色，但是不好玩，上手难度很高，而且有时候不知道为什么换不了人。还有估计是因为前作的2d改成了本作的3d，所以怪的数量砍了很多，还出现了很多明明一模一样，非要占两个图鉴的怪，你好歹换个色呢[spoiler] 还有就是这作的大体型怪（大象，暴龙还有其它吃了巨大化buff的噪音）很恶心，直接免疫失衡，导致一大堆击飞/挑飞类的徽章只能打小怪练级 [/spoiler] ui：说实话，感觉这作的ui有点差，不谈实用性，光视觉效果就给人很乱的感觉。实用性更是一坨，衣服和徽章的排序方式有好几种，但只能切换不能自选，而且没有按编号排序，尤其是徽章页面，甚至没有满级/未满级徽章分离 一些小吐槽：1前作和这作的剧情跳过都是快速进行对话，本质上还是要看剧情，而且如果对话里有音效会明显的卡一下，做真正的跳过很难吗？2菜单没有首尾相连，你想看后面的怪只能按住下键，一不小心就超了；3不显示哪个章节有boss噪音，说是有boss战的章节就有boss噪音，拜托谁能记得那么清楚啊；4前作让人开秘密报告还知道给点提示呢，这作完全没提示啊，认准了玩家收集其它道具的时候能顺便开是吧？

IT WAS AMAZING!!! I really liked The World Ends With You - Final Remix and so I was really pumped to play NEO and see all these old characters again, along side some new faces as well. The story, the character design and traits, the music, the gameplay and the overall style of the game was INCREDIBLE! There were so many awesome twists and turns, so many scenes where it had you at the edge of your seat and a lot of laughs and tears were had as well. AND SO MANY RELATABLE CHARACTERS TOO, LIKE YES, ME TOO NAGI!!! But really, this game makes you think about so many aspects of your life and how your world and easily change around you. While it might seem like you have so much time ahead of you, your life only truly starts with you. Once you've decide to start making your own decisions, speaking your mind, making friends and standing up and fighting for what you love can you truly make the most of your time and make it special! This game really put something that may seem so simple to understand into perspective through the story and characters. I HAD A BLAST... PARDON THE INTRUSION BUT IT'S TIME TO REMEMBER!

hellll yeah

honestly one of the top games that ive ever played i went into this blind without knowing that it was a sequel but still had a great time! the characters are memorable, the combat was easy to pick up and fun, the overall street aesthetic, the amazing soundtrack which each track seemingly being a different genre but still contains the vibes the game is going for. The story was dragged out and somewhat predictable, especially during the time travel segments, it feels like they add little to nothing to the story except for the last 3 days where there are actual stakes in using that ability. Character development was also weirdly paced, with maybe the exception of Rindo. They had occasional hints of their trouble and one day of their own to resolve it all. After that they really just revert back to their character archetype. Despite all this i still think the overall story and themes was able to hold itself surprisingly well, being able to delivered the message that it wanted to deliver, making me warm up to the cast and root for their journey, and make the end conclusion feels worth it. The overall atmosphere and stakes are definitely a knot down from the original TWEWY, but it's still a great story on its own. The gameplay loop was whatever, i'm not exactly a fan of real time combat to start with so i appreciate how its easy to pick up. TLDR you just kinda have to time when to push which key, it gets grindy and boring after awhile but that didn't make the experience worse for me so there's no problem there. Not exactly fond of how some character's psych gimmick is just purely to access more "hidden" content (ex. Shoka's telewarp not really doing anything except to find out of sight pigs compared to Beat's soundsurf actually contributing to the gameplay loop via increasing the Groove at the start of battles). I'm not saying those are bad mechanics i just wish they all had psychs that can equally contribute to the gameplay and/or story as i adore the cast and want to utilise their abilities equally. Overall, even though there are some flaws in NEO i still think its worth giving a try, especially if you're a fan of the franchise
