NEO The World Ends With You é a continuação de um dos JRPGs mais únicos que a Square arriscou lançar nesses últimos....sei lá, 20 anos por aí. Pra quem não jogou o primeiro jogo no Nintendo DS, entrar aqui sem conhecer nada pode parecer extremamente confuso de início, a maneira como a história é contada, os combates que são uma verdadeira zona, mas vc é recompensado com personagens extremamente carismático, uma das melhores OST da história que parece uma mistura de Persona com Jet Set Radio e o visual Shibuya-Punk que eu particularmente vou elogiar em qualquer lugar que ele aparecer já que é de longe minha estética preferida. A primeira impressão que o combate traz é de que você está jogando o controle no liquidificador. Como você controla o time inteiro ao mesmo tempo e cada personagem responde a um botão diferente (atrelado ao seu próprio Pin), as primeiras lutas parecem uma verdadeira zona generalizada. É faísca, número subindo e boneco voando pra todo lado. Conforme você vai se acostumando com o ritmo, aquela bagunça se transforma num combate bizarramente satisfatório.O jogo te força a ser estratégico. Não dá pra só esmagar botão; o segredo está na build e no timing. Você começa a caçar Pins que combinam entre si — tipo usar um Pin de gravidade para juntar os inimigos, um de fogo para dar o dano em área e outro de combo físico para finalizar. Quando você acerta o timing perfeito dos ataques para engatar o sistema de combo do jogo, a barra de sincronia enche, você solta o especial e limpa a tela de inimigos num piscar de olho. E toda essa profundidade do combate é sustentada por uma tríade de mecânicas que ditam a evolução da sua party: Pins, Comidas e Roupas. Os Pins são os seus ataques e magias, e colecionar, evoluir e testar as centenas de opções disponíveis é um vício sem fim. Mas o charme de verdade está em como você melhora seus status. Em vez de só farmar XP, você precisa levar a sua galera para entuchar a cara nos restaurantes locais — comer hambúrguer, ramen ou um parfait de morango é o que te dá atributos permanentes como vida e ataque (desde que o boneco curta o prato, claro). Para fechar, o seu 'equipamento' de armadura são literalmente roupas de grife que você compra nas lojas da cidade. O casaco estiloso ou o boné que você escolhe não servem só para dar status, eles liberam habilidades passivas apelonas se o seu personagem tiver a quantidade de 'Estilo' necessária para carregar o visual de um set inteiro. Como eu citei anteriormente, a OST desse jogo é extremamente viciante. É aquela mistura perfeita de Persona com Jet Set Radio, e mesmo tendo vozes cantadas depois de horas vc não cansa de ouvi-las. Você tá andando por Shibuya ou no meio de um combate caótico e tá rolando um mix frenético de J-Rock, Pop Chiclete, Rap, Eletrônico e até Nu-Metal. O bagulho é tão viciante que você se pega balançando a cabeça no ritmo da música enquanto esmaga os botões, e quando dá por si, já baixou a playlist inteira no Spotify para ouvir no dia a dia. A Square devia ter mais coragem assim, investir em algo diferente de "heróis da luz contra as trevas e blá blá blá", não que uma história mais tradicional não seja boa, mas as vezes a inovação é necessária e gera verdadeiros hiddem gems. A really truly devastatingly good game, with a great story, even better messages to learn about living your life. Of course the soundtrack is outstanding if not the best OST in any video game ever but the gameplay is also incredibly fun and addictive. Listen up y'all the world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go

one of the best, most rewarding games in my life, without any spoilers, the game takes the first game, amplifies its enjoyability by a thousand, honestly worth the money especially if you get it onsale, im still working my way to 100%, but i can say this is one of the most well written square games recently, and i can say the pin system is great, and honestly im thankful i played this game 10/10 from me.

Had a stellar time with NEO: TWEWY. It’s stylish, fun, and a honest to god great sequel to the original DS game. What surprised me most is that underneath all the flashy visuals and chaotic energy, there’s genuine subtext here. The game actually has something to say about identity, connection, and finding your place in the world, which I really appreciated. The combat is also a huge highlight. It feels intuitive and free-form, and the pin system gives you a lot of room to experiment. Swapping pins can completely change how you approach fights, so battles rarely feel stale. Overall, NEO feels like a proper evolution from the first game. It keeps the style, heart, and weird energy that made the original special, while expanding the combat, world, and characters in a way that actually feels worthy of being a sequel. Best game I've played all year, definitely recommend.

10 hours of playing this game and nothing but go here and go there. gameplay isn't amazing.

this has gotta be up there as one of my new favorite games of all time. after somehow avoiding spoilers for years, experiencing this game blind has really made me appreciate this niche little corner of square's catalog even more than I already did. the music is top notch, the gameplay is enjoyable throughout, the story is great, the characters are entertaining, and if this is the last game in this series we get, it absolutely ended on a high note. I really wish more people knew about this and the original game, it's become one of my favorite series of all time and is severely underrated
