I had this on my ps5 with like 110 hrs but not being able to play online pissed me off so I bought on sale on pc. The game is amazing in my opinion, it's a type of not really realistic physics but a game to sit down in your chair and play on a controller (best option on tv). I love arcade type of games that's why i prefer nfs rather than forza so if you count on realistic driving you can skip this game but i guarantee that you would love it anyways. Lots of cars and lots of visual tunes, geniuenly played almost every need for speed and I rank this on the level of Nfs Most Wanted. Hope this helps!
Very fun game, Story is nothing too special, but enjoyable. Multiplayer is a lot of fun, being able choice what kind of lobby you want to play is a nice feature. Handling feels nice and is customizable to what you want the car to feel in a simple to understand way.
Incredibly disappointing game. I've loved the Need for Speed franchise for years, and after Heat, I was genuinely excited about the direction the series seemed to be taking. Unfortunately, Unbound not only missed the mark but unlocked a level of frustration I have never experienced in my lifetime of playing racing games. First, the dialogue is excessive and painfully written. It's a bad sign when you don't even like your own character's dialogue. It feels like a group of boomers sat in a room trying to write slang from the younger generations, and it completely missed the mark. The callbacks to Most Wanted and jokes like "the Need for... what was it again?" were appreciated in concept, but executed poorly. During the Lakeshore Grand, there are barely any moments to simply enjoy the racing because someone is constantly talking, and almost all of it is unbearably corny. Nobody escapes it, not even the Lakeshore PD. Seriously, what the hell is a "dirt burger"? The best Need for Speed games never had to convince you that the stakes were high. They didn't rely on constant dialogue to tell you how dangerous the police were or how badly you should want to win. They let the atmosphere, the pacing, the soundtrack, and the intensity of the racing create those feelings naturally. They understood that less is more and trusted the gameplay to sell itself. That's what made games like MW and Rivals so memorable. The dialogue complemented the experience instead of competing with it. Unbound rarely gives the racing room to breathe, and because of that, many of the moments that should be the most exciting are shrugged off or don't feel exciting. I do appreciate the sense of progression the game tries to create, but the early game is absolutely miserable. The prologue drags on far longer than it needs to. If the goal was to make players become attached to the starter car before taking it away, there were countless better ways to achieve that emotional payoff, especially considering how well MW 2005 handled a similar idea. Then the actual story begins, and the first week is brutal for all the wrong reasons. Fighting just to avoid finishing last is something I've never experienced in an arcade racer. The game repeatedly forces you into races that barely pay enough to make meaningful progress, leaving you unable to afford upgrades and resulting in an experience that feels less like a "challenging" game and more just a frustrating one. After the first week, the game finally starts to feel enjoyable, but by then you're already several hours in and have probably questioned whether it's worth continuing. This is compounded by the way cops spawn, they should at least try to make it seem like the cops don't have some sort of ESP or are spawning on your route. I didn't even feel like it was random spawning or some sort of search party going on, it just genuinely felt annoying and unrewarding to deal with the cops. The visual style is neat, and I respect Criterion for trying something different. That said, I don't think flashy tag effects are what make Need for Speed special. The series has always stood out because of its car customization, sound design, and sense of speed. Personally, I'd rather see future entries focus on those strengths instead of doubling down on the visual effects. Also, the sirens in the game sound horrible and have to be overhauled. I can't really comment on multiplayer because, by the time I finished the story, I was completely exhausted with the game and had no desire to keep playing. Finally, the soundtrack was a huge disappointment. I do love A$AP Rocky and am an avid listener, so this isn't coming from someone who dislikes the featured artists. The soundtrack just lacks variety and doesn't fit most racing scenarios. Forza Horizon handles this much better with multiple radio stations covering different genres, letting players choose the music that fits their tastes. Need for Speed would benefit from adopting a similar approach. A playlist that's varied like MW 2012 (one of the best OSTs of all time imo) would also be much more enjoyable. As someone who's been a fan of this series for years, I wanted to love this game. Instead, it left a hole that made me want to replay older Need for Speed titles. I genuinely hope the next installment learns from these mistakes, because this franchise deserves better.

another game where you have to sign into the commie EA app just to play.
I would not pay full price at all for this game, but if i was bored and it was on sale id buy it. The game is not bad, just more unrealistic than realistic, and has things that can be annoying. Also you need make an EA account and sign in to play the game, or else you cant play it and don't own it, even though you paid for it..
this game sucks so bad its fun anymore cant upgrade your ride to go faster
