NEARCADE – Retro Arcade

Put your phones side by side. The puck slides off your screen and onto your friend’s, a tank shell lands on the far side of the table, and four cars run the same race, each on a different iPhone. NEARCADE is a set of retro 16-bit games to play solo or with the people next to you. Phones connect directly to each other: no internet, no accounts, no server. Pay once, and there are no ads. Play on the bus, at the cabin, on a plane. FOUR GAMES • RACING (new): Two modes. MINI TRACK is a top-down race around twisting circuits where every corner counts. TURBO ROAD puts you behind the car through five worlds: green hills, desert, snow, the Moon with its low gravity, and a stadium at night. Race the computer, or open a group of 2 to 4 phones: everyone drives their own car and sees the others live, cars bump, and one shared countdown starts the grid. Pick a track or draw one at random. • TANKS: Set your angle and power, read the wind, fire. Play the computer, or go one on one with two phones side by side in landscape as your shell flies onto your rival’s screen. Every match takes place in one of four worlds: green hills, desert, snow, or the Moon, where low gravity carries shells a very long way. • AIR HOCKEY: Three difficulty levels against the computer, or two phones placed top to top: the puck crosses from screen to screen and the two halves become one table. • SPRINT & LONG JUMP: 100 meters of tapping left-right as fast as your fingers allow, then a take-off from the board without overstepping. Chase the ghost of your best run, or race in a group of 2 to 8 phones: everyone runs on their own screen while a live mini-track shows the whole field. ALSO INSIDE • Your nickname and one of 8 pixel avatars • Stats, records and a head-to-head score with every friend, synced across your devices through your own iCloud (you can turn this off) • Original chiptune music, in sync on every phone, Bluetooth headphones included • Sound effects and haptics • Day, Night or Auto theme • Five languages: English, Polish, German, French and Spanish PRIVATE BY DESIGN No ads. No in-app purchases. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. We don’t collect any data. Only people nearby or on your Wi-Fi see your nickname and avatar, and only while your lobby is open or you’re playing together. Never in the background, never over the internet. GOOD TO KNOW • Every player needs NEARCADE on their own iPhone. • Family Sharing: one purchase lets up to six family members play, each on their own iPhone. • To play together, turn on Wi-Fi. No network or internet needed. In Airplane Mode, just switch Wi-Fi back on. • Allow Local Network access when iOS asks, so the phones can find each other. • Solo modes work completely offline, even with Wi-Fi off.
