They destroyed a beautiful game. Those that know and loved the original version will know what I mean. This version should not be categorized as strategy or tactical. Just sort-lived meaningless arcade type timewaster. 11 hours additional playtime after my first review and I wish that I could give a better review but sadly no. 1. 7 battles in a row i am the last ship fighting against 7 enemy players. that exact ratio every time. 2. I preferred NF over WoW terrible games because NF was more realistic. Well how realistic is it that a DD outranges a BB or CA in a 1v1 battle? Or the fact that the Texas is so tiny and moves like a DD that it's near impossible to kill in a 1v1 fight. 3. While I was excited to get to BB stage to play Great Battles once again, how silly is it that the same tiny maps are used. Within a few seconds BB sight lines reach the enemy line. No strategy needed. Just slug it out. This is no the strategy that NF Resurrection of the Steel Fleet represented. I had hoped that the lower level rooms were meant for the instant gratification short battle gameplay and the higher level room for the known NF strategic game play. Disappointed. 4. My disappointment deepened when I realized that mobile app players and PC/Steam players were being squeezed into the same rooms/maps. This is unfair to dedicated PC players. If there was a way to get my old NF account back I would ditch this version and return to that old familiar fulfilling game in a heartbeat. If the developers want to not only save this game but expand dedicated player base they should consider bringing back the depth of ship customization and sailor progression; dedicated large Great Battle maps for PC play; analog incremental controls for turrets and ship movement (even though many years have passed, my fingers still keep trying to adjust my elevation manually lol) and get rid of that ridiculous thing where a DD can match/outrange much larger ships! Hopefully the next update breathes new yet familiar life back into this game. For now, I'll just delete. Btw, I am such a believer in the original NF that I happily paid for premium and some packages mainly to support the dream and the vision and the courage it took to Resurrect this old yet unmatched game.

As a veteran of Navyfield back in 2006 (can't believe that was nearly 20 years ago!), I can definitely say this game is a decent. It captures a lot of what made the original so great, but with much smoother, upgraded graphics. I actually prefer the streamlined crew system, combining sailors per ship is a massive quality-of-life upgrade over micromanaging 21+ individual crew members. That said, I do miss the deeper customization of the original. I wish we had more control over armor setup and gun choices, rather than just being stuck with preset armaments. Overall, though, it's really fun!

is a good game.
This game isn't terrible to be honest, but I don't think it works as a PC game. This game is clearly ported from mobile with the huge buttons and touchscreen-esque elements, such as dragging the map with the cursor. The gameplay is more like an idle game because basically everything is automated, but I don't personally hate that too much. My only major quarrels with this game are that A: the quote unquote "abilities" you are given take forever to recharge (Which I guess makes sense because they don't want you spamming them and making the already dead easy levels easier), and B: there are a lot of in-game purchases that make it sort of pay to win. Other than that though, it's a solid game. I just think if it were a mobile game it would work a lot better.
