[b]Bottom line: This one’s actually good. Like, “I didn’t expect to sink hours a day” good.[/b] The driving feels proper for the first time in forever. It’s accessible enough that you won’t rage-quit after three laps, but it’s got real weight, grip, and that satisfying loose-but-controlled feel through the corners that old NASCAR games only dreamed about. Way better than anything I’ve played before. On the Arcade (0) to Sim (10) scale, I’m putting this at a solid 7. Feels right. Career mode is where it gets funny. You’re forced to be an owner-driver from day one. Sorry boys, no championship with RCR or Wood Brothers. I wanted to slide into the #34 car for Grillos Pickles supremacy, but nah, you’re out here signing your own paychecks and hoping the sponsor money doesn’t dry up. Kinda sucks if you’re a die-hard team loyalist. Luckily, Championship Mode scratches that itch, and in Career you still get to smoke your favourite drivers on track, so it’s not a total loss. The music? Perfect mix of modern country, rock, and that good ol’ NASCAR vibe. Off-track stuff in career is immersive enough, you feel like you’re actually running a small team, but yeah, it could be deeper. Still, it’s miles better than what we had before. Final verdict: If you love proper career mode racing games, this is 100% worth it. Grab it, fire up Automobilista 2 for your serious sim fix when you need it, but NASCAR 25 is the one that actually gets you racing week after week without feeling like a chore. 10/10 would owner-driver again. Just don’t ask me how many times I wrecked trying to look cool on the banking.
