NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 2

Got this game on sale, thinking it was going to be a quick, simple, casual fighting game like the first one. Nope. Had multiple fights where the com is able to just spam substitution on every hit I land. At one point, I tried counting, and I hit the enemy a total of 26 times before I actually managed to hurt them. At one point, I used my ultimate move on an enemy, and it took out like a third of their first health bar. They then hit me with their ultimate and took out my entire first health bar. It seems to randomly decide if it'll fight you on the hardest difficulty or the easiest with little rhyme or reason, and you can't change the difficulty. I did wonder why one of the achievements was for playing the game for 30+ hours. This doesn't seem like the kind of game with 30+ hours of content. It's because it takes forever to beat some of these fights for seemingly no reason. You don't unlock fast travel until later on, and the map is strangely long with little to do. They took away the chakra running from the first game, so you're just slow jogging everywhere. Between the bad com setup, the reduced movement compared to the previous game, and the tedious traveling time. It was more frustrating at worst and boring at best vs actually being fun. I don't need it to be phenomenal, but I want to enjoy myself while playing a game casually. This was not it. I will say if you play competitively, you'll probably enjoy this game more than me. But as a casual gamer, this was not for me.

В первой части у игрока было свободное перемещение, можно заглянуть в каждый угол Конохи, исполнив мечту детства. Здесь же все локации коридорные, однако их много. Как по мне, неплохой компромисс. Убрали другие режимы, по типу погони или гонок по деревьям. Но при этом добавили полноценные босс-файты. Некоторые моменты весьма эпичные, например избиение одного старика группой оранжевоволосых лиц. Сюжет, конечно, урезан. Но музыка и определённые фрагменты всё-равно цепляют. Освежить память и поностальгировать эта игрушка поможет. Остаётся только один вопрос - а что Наруто всю игру пытается найти в кустах и под брёвнами?

This game had some quality of life changes from the first game, but it also had a lot of other changes that made it very boring at times and like corners were cut,like walking forever and gathering materials,basically just to extend the game, and the boss fights. Some of the boss fights just became infuriating mini games that actually made me prefer the awful way the first game was with having to hurriedly put in the button combos flashing on the screen. I ended up just ragequitting in chapter 5, I wasn't having fun anymore and stopped caring to finish.
