Nancy Drew®: Message in a Haunted Mansion

Very fun and exciting game! It still holds up as a 25 year-old game with the graphics, story, characters and puzzles it provides. Anyone who thinks about buying it, you won't regret a single penny, so give it a try!

Not recommended due to the following: * incredibly clunky navigation * that one puzzle that requires pixel perfect placement of multiple items but never states that explicitly and it is easy to assume (as I initially did) that the patterns on the items need to be lined up instead *occasional "think fast or it's game over" moments, somewhat ameliorated by the second chance feature * at least one instance where a completely unintuitive action must be taken to progress the storyline * occasional disconnect between the player and Nancy as the discoveries made by the player are not always immediately reflected in the dialogue options * an abrupt ending that fails to tie up all the narrative threads and honestly, kind of makes Nancy look dumb

One of the quicker Nancy Drew games, you can finish it in one sitting, even on Senior Detective.

A little out dated but who cares, it's a fun game. gotta love Nancy Drew <3

For the third entry in the series, it's pretty good! Once again, it's on the short side but that's par for the course with the older NDs. Love that this one feels like a light horror game at times, with the game choosing to scare you seemingly at random. You can really *feel* that the house is haunted. That being said, this one is pretty lacking in the good puzzles and interesting characters department with both feeling pretty dry. Overall, this one has some of the best vibes with the most mid gameplay 7/10

Love these when I was a kid and still do was abel to buy a bunch while on sale!! reminds me of the good old days and give you lots of knoledge on random topics of the Chinese / san franscisco, and spiritual worlds

Oldie but a Goodie. Very short game play for this one and movement is a little clunkier than other ND games but it is also one of the first so it's to be expected. Fun story with doable puzzles without hints needed. I just wish it had been longer vs 1 sitting completion.

It's old and very dated, but has solid puzzles, characters, and gameplay that still hold up.

Ahh the nostalgia. Felt a bit like cheating on this one since I actually remembered a lot of the puzzles from my first play many years ago, but I think that speaks to how memorable this game is. THE game to start with if you've never played any ND games, IMHO.
