Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island

3/5. Yer average adventure game. Conversation with characters is just interesting enough to keep playing. Could have benefitted from challenging puzzles (currently, they are rote) and more eyelid on the characters (everyone looks INCREDIBLY INTENSE at all times). Edit: I think I would have absolutely loved it as a tween when in my Greek mythology phase, although my favorite part would have been "well, actually..."ing it.

A wonderful quick and cozy game! While it isn't as dark as Wytchwood or as long as Yonder, it was filled with fun and interesting characters and charming tasks to complete. I loved the ties to Greek mythology and the music was fantastic! I wish it were longer but glad that they didn't drag out the ending.

This is a fantastic game. I genuinely feel like the people who were complaining about the ending weren't actually listening to what the characters were saying throughout the story. Ultimately, this is a story of shared hurt, and shared responsibility. They each acknowledge that others hurt them, and how their own actions hurt themselves and others. I'm not shocked at all by the ending. Other than that, there was an incredibly frustrating hour trying to figure out how to unlock the second to last memory, but for the most part the game was very smooth, gently leading you from one item to the next. Super relaxed gameplay, no rush at all, and overall an enjoyable experience.

LMAO If you're an overwhelmed auditor, and you just wanna take a break, this game is exactly for YOU. Jokes aside, it's a fun, laid-back 100% fetch quest game. Sure the gods are depicted in questionable ways (I mean both looks and character-wise) but it's quite unique and actually refreshing. And I liked the messages and topics discussed, although the devs could've gone deeper with them.

I loved playing this game! The story was really interesting and the twist wasn't what I thought it would be. Overall great game, and I hope I can find more like it. Played on steam deck, no issues!

This was a delightful quaint and whimsical game!

Simply delightful. The level of polish in this game is incredible. Everything feels top-notch! there are so many tiny details everywhere, everything’s alive and moving, and the sound design just breathes life into it all. The music is so relaxing I actually ended up leaving the game running just to listen to the cassettes while I worked! (my 48 hours on record probably say it all.)

Relaxing, charming, engaging and heart-warming! Highly recommended.
