About
(A Game made by one of the %&#@!*$ that worked on The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and Creator of cult game 'At Least There is Čeda Čedović')
Myths are 100% True is a Fast-Paced Combat Side-Scroller that feels like X-Files if it was made by 12 year olds in Windows Movie Maker.
Play as Hlev Pekarovic - a newly hired ‘Photoslav’ and master of ‘Aggressive Photography’. He works for ‘Teorija Tortino’, one of the CEOs of ‘Big Myth Company’. Only with his skills can he create the world’s biggest documentation of myths and legends and make his newest internet video!
The Gameplay is about how a photo of Bigfoot is not as good as a photo of 2 Bigfoots:
A clean synergy of Fast-Paced Platforming and Combat. A Ridiculous movement system where dashing into slopes launches you in the air that somehow works hand-in-hand with the camera-based combat! (You can also buy infinite salad, macaroni or burek, but that's neither here nor there)
This game's theme is a mishmash of all sorts of stuff that interests us; grounded by bizarre themes such as 'Late 2000s GTA Myth videos', 'Early Y2K surreal Optimism', 'Absurdist Comedy' and inspirations and influences so niche that you may as well be playing a game from an alternative universe.
The game’s tone is a throwback to the strange, yet more light-hearted and vibrant charm of the late 2000s internet. A Varied, Eccentric, Genuine, Replayable and Player-Expressive game!
If you like the surreal feeling of seeing easter eggs and tiny details that are probably a reference to something highly specific and obscure but you cannot possibly guess what it is, then this game is for you!

You know how most platforms have a handful of unique level themes that get reused throughout the entire game? Yeah, this game doesn't do that. Every single level has its own unique background art with a ton of small cute visual gags. Seriously, I love how much unique art there is in this game! Combine that with fun and fast-paced gameplay, goofy writing and an excellent soundtrack (mudeth never disappoints!) and you'll get one of the most unique and charming 2D platformers out there.
True.
I've had a dream about this game so it's probably pretty good. That aside, I love pretty much everything about it. The movement is so cool, I genuinely started trying to dash into slopes in other games; the levels are also great, kinda remind me of NiGHTS into Dreams with how you're supposed to both go fast and get as much points as possible, and I love that game. It also is infinitely more welcoming to new players compared to NiGHTS, which is good for games with high skill ceilings; the enemies and the bosses are all very fun to fight against, especially the latter. I usually find the bosses a little boring in these types of games, but here it's executed pretty much perfectly; the character designs are awesome, it's really making me consider changing my pfp; the general mood of the game is very comforting, it's both grounded and whimsical and it creates a very peaceful picture of the world that brings me a lot of joy; Mudeth cooked as always so the music is full of bangers too; oh, and references. So, so many references, some of the so obscure there is no other game that could have made them. Literally no reason not to play this game unless you are vehemently against all 2D platformers. Like, the worst part of this game is maybe some enemy placements being just a little uninteresting, but even those are so few and because of the fast-paced gameplay they don't sour the experience at all anyway. I think I mentioned everything I wanted to mention about this game. I don't know how else to end this review, so I'll just tell you to play this game.
This game is true actually, this all actually happened.
Fast, small and silly
this ♥♥♥♥♥ true!
is this game like, best game ever gonna blow you away? probably not. but it's just so consistently really good at everything. i love when video games are fun
It's a lot out of what I like about platformers: That "0-to-100 itch" that other games like Ultrakill give me, the fast pace, it just feels right to me. I only wish there was more to it in terms of levels because it's so enjoyable I just want more of it. The grouping of enemies to deal more damage / earn higher scores is a great idea and I think it does the job of differentiating this game from its inspirations really well. My only gripe is that the enemy placement can feel a little same-y at times, but I think this is a great platformer overall.
amazing game i absolutely LOVE IT
6-3 is harder than the final damn boss
