About
It's also a Game made by that one guy that worked on The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and made the obscure cult-hit indie game 'At Least There is Čeda Čedović' !
Play as Hlev Pekarovic - a newly hired ‘Photoslav’ and master of ‘Aggressive Photography’. He works for ‘Teorija Tortino’, one of the CEOs of ‘Big Myth Company’. Only with his skills can he create the world’s biggest documentation of myths and legends and make the best myth video of 20XY !
The Gameplay is about how a photo of Bigfoot is not as good as a photo of 2 Bigfoots:
A clean synergy of Fast-Paced Platforming and Combat. A Ridiculous movement system where dashing into slopes launches you in the air that somehow works hand-in-hand with the camera-based combat! (You can also buy infinite salad, macaroni or burek, but that's neither here nor there)
This game's theme is a mishmash of all sorts of stuff that interests us; grounded by bizarre themes such as 'Late 2000s GTA Myth videos', 'Early Y2K surreal Optimism', 'Absurdist Comedy' and inspirations and influences so niche that you may as well be playing a game from an alternative universe.
The game’s tone is a throwback to the strange, yet more light-hearted and vibrant charm of the late 2000s internet. A Varied, Eccentric, Genuine, Replayable and Player-Expressive game !
(All of this fast, snappy movement may look overwhelming, but it's surprisingly easy to pull off.)
(Plus it can still be played more calmly for those who wanna take it slow and observe the strange little background details (which may or may not be clues to some secret you haven't found yet))
If you like the surreal feeling of regularly experiencing surreal events and highly specific easter eggs & details that are so baffling you can't help but laugh, then this game is for you!

An extremely fun, fast paced platformer that takes from damn near everything ever made in some way. I've been a fan of Leather since 2014, and this game feels like a celebration of everything he loves and has interest in more than any of his other games. Best described as "a terminally online slavic man's adventure through Top 10 Scariest Moments In Non-Horror Games."
This gets a hesitant yes out of me. I've been debating for like 10 minutes whether to say I would or wouldn't recommend the game, so that should probably indicate to you my feelings on this game. This game has a lot going for it - the artstyle is really charming, the music is fantastic, the movement feels really fun to play around with, it's a perfectly decent platformer. But if there's two major things that I think hold this game back and prevent it from being higher on my preference list, it's the writing, and how it plays loosey-goosey with its theme. The writing is... hard to get through. While some of the minor characters get different ways of speaking, so much of the cast feel like they talk in the exact same way, and that way is "huh, well that just happened." I find nothing wrong with comedy by juxtaposing the fantastical with the mundane, but when _every_ dialog involves someone pointing out the suspension of disbelief and going "wow how weird is that" it becomes grating. "Yes, game, I _was_ trying to ignore how odd this aspect is. I was doing it to enjoy you more. Can you please get off of me." I started appreciating the few characters who were bold in how exaggerated they were when hlev kept swatting away their attempts at theatrics. It's not to say that the comedy here is _all bad_, little touches like the extra text in some levels or the ability to set your own billboards is really fun, and this writing was getting a chuckle out of me initially. But there's only _so many_ times I can sequentially read deadpan before I start losing the plot. Secondly, I think the idea of "myths" here is really underutilized? Other than maybe _three_ references I managed to get (smilecat, illuminati enemy, and the constant name-dropping of the mothman), it doesn't feel like this game is really about photographing myths. Sure, I have a camera, and the enemies are called myths, but nothing about them rings to me as a cryptid or creature of some sort. Some of them are just Guys with Bats, or Large Guys With Bats, or LeatherIceCream Throwing Glasses At Me. The camera itself is just a standard damage-dealing item and doesn't feel like... well, a camera. The moment I can destroy things with the camera rather than just photographing them, it doesn't feel like I'm a photographer to me, I feel like I'm a hitman with a very square rifle. and an orange hat. Still, I find this game to be super charming (everyone on the dev team has the chops to prove they can pump out stuff that sticks in your head for years), but it _juuuust_ misses the mark on being a game I'd actively tell people to play. I haven't finished playing yet, and might update this review once I do, but I still plan on finishing the game all the way through. As a first title this is not half bad, (even not as a first title this is pretty good,) and I do hope to see you guys put out something else.

Very charming platformer with a really solid movement/combat system. I do feel like the level design starts to take a fall around world 5, as alot of it is just basic geometry or flat terrain, but there's still some really solid moments even in those worlds. I just feel like the game doesn't fully take advantage of it's level design/enemy design. For example, there's this one enemy that's essentially a chain of ghosts that moves like snake, y'know, the PC game. In order to eliminate the enemy, you have to photograph each segment, which totals up to around 12 segments you need to photograph before it's gone. Considering how fast the enemy moves and it's unique health, I think it would have been great to see it in more varied arenas, but pretty much every time you encounter it, it's just alone in a room with 2 large platforms, rarely paired with other enemies or interesting terrain to take advantage of its speed and properties. Don't get me wrong, I think the enemy design here is REALLY solid. Each enemy fills a distinct role and none of them tread on eachothers territory and can really synergise with one another, alot of them lend themselves to the movement/combat system very well, but like I said, the game just doesn't fully live up to the potential that these enemies have. The bosses are, surprisingly, a high point. which is surprising considering alot of platformers falter with their bosses. Needing to photograph another enemy along with the boss itself is a really good way to emphasize positioning yourself correctly, and the dashcam shield is a good way to discourage dash spam. I also love how the bosses don't just use, but EMBRACE enemy adds, with some of the bosses absolutely peppering you with them, along with their unique attacks and mechanics. They're all genuinely really solid fights and I think Leather did a great job with them. The only one I didn't really like was the final phase of the final boss, where it becomes alot more static and less tailored towards the overall games structure due to lack of enemies or terrain to use, the boss also only has 3 attacks, one of which is only there to get your companion to move, and as such is entirely predictable. I don't think the game should have been harder per say, but I think more unique environments/arenas/subrooms would have done it a really big favour. I'm not expecting Ultrakill tier level design obviously, but something more to snack on would have been nice. Still on the whole? It's a very solid platformer with alot to love about it. The writing is fun, the artstyle is gorgeous, and the movement/combat is very very good. And even though I just ragged on the level design a bit, I still think it's overall fairly solid. 8/10. Would love to see what's in store for the future.
