Strange things begin happening after the funeral, where your investigation starts its journey into the mystical new world of wonders and pleasure. [h1]Story - Content[/h1] Mythos, Book One begins with our protagonist (who can be chosen to be male or female; the only difference during the game session will be intimate scenes and some dialogues and the surname) getting questioned by Agent 8699 about their name and nickname, and while the question is being held, you can find a donut on the desk a little blurred out. If pressed, the game would say, “Wrong Game!” I’m not completely certain of which game it relates to, but one review I made was of a game called Sunshine Love Chapter 1. Which had the mini-game throughout the session. For each donut found, a lewd image would be unlocked. No achievement, but a goofy Easter egg. Mythos, Book One is, in short, an NSFW visual novel about a murder case of the main protagonist's ex-girlfriend. Shortly after the funeral, everything starts opening, as if the main character’s eyes have been shut for years until this event, after which they open to all mystic wonders and confusion. This interesting and well-made visual novel consists of four chapters, and the shortest it can take is around 3 hours to finish if you don’t read that much. But the story will make your eyes curious, and when you least expect it, it will make you start reading the dialogs and catch you in its grip. Containing celestial beings, demons & angels, spirits, vampires, wizards/witches, cults, and more. The game also displays three important features: Hunting Achievements? There are Achievements in Mythos that unlock special renders of the Mythos girls! Finding these Achievements will require you to think outside of the box and interact with the game in ways that will not be explicitly pointed out to you. Every Achievement can be done while in the game, and won’t require you to do anything outside of it – don't go deleting files! Be Patient!!! When you see this spinning hourglass symbol on the screen, you don’t need to click! The game will automatically advance within a few seconds. Clicking could cause you to miss cool things like animations. This can be disabled in the preference menu. [u]The Mythos Lorebook[/u] This handy book will keep track of important info for you! You can access it any time by clocking this link at the bottom of from the game menu. Something that can be found in the main menu is Tales from Mythos which are short side-content stories or backstories/lore for some of the characters within the game. It’s only a texted story, but if you enjoy reading or even yet enjoy the game, I would recommend reading these tales. [h1]Visual & Audio[/h1] [b]Visuals[/b] There isn’t a lot to say about the graphics except that they are well done. Both the characters and the interior are looking good and detailed. The characters look pretty, and the interiors for a lot of the scenes are highly detailed and, to be honest, look amazing. And as for many visual novels where they try and add facial expressions/emotions, it doesn’t work as well as planned. Or at least not many of the few I have tried before. [b]Audio[/b] For audio, the game only consisted of different background music. As in many other games, the songs switch between scenes fitting for the scenario. The songs themselves are well made and sound beautiful; they’re not really on repeat of the same song. But when it does repeat, it is barely noticeable. The only unfortunate thing missing is intimacy sound effects. Even if they would be small ones, there are none, but a special sound effect is added. And one even being in an intimate moment, lightning sound effect, all I’m going to say. And on top of all, the developer has great taste in color. Purple is the best there is. I've had purple hair for almost 8 years soon if I am correct, and anything purple looks great. And the name in specific, “Mythos, Book One” will there be more books to continue the story, or will there be a whole other people but the same world/universe as the ones from the first book? Or is it just for name purposes only? Price-wise, I think it's a fair price for all the content given, and as for how interesting the story is. Either way, I would highly recommend trying Mythos, Book One, any day. But I swear by God, by the ocean flowing out to the sea, and even with the warning from the developer themselves... FINDING ACHIEVEMENTS IS IMPOSSIBLE. And all that made by only one person??? Good luck, all you achievement hunters. I wish you the best of luck. If you are looking for a romance story this is not it. No romance no flirting no relationship building. If you just want a slide show of sex this is not it. It has sex scenes but they are about a 4 out of 10 as there is no relationship and you don't really care. A good mystery story should give you the clues you need so you can see the ending coming or when you are surprised you know you could have figured it out if you had just been more observant. The movie "All the usual Suspects" is a good example of how to do it right and the movie "Murder by Death" points out how many famous authors cheat by keeping essential clues from the reader. I felt let down by the ending with almost no foreshadowing of who did it. So by my evaluation the game is 0 for 3. The art was fine and the game was pretty bug free on the positive side.

Okay, I've finished playing this game, and yes, it is a complete story. A paranormal mystery, with some adult scenes (that can be turned off..) I first tried the demo, and then after some research I bought the game. Was it worth the money. Yeah, definitely. The first thing I noticed was the abundance of options in the actual game as compared to the demo. The game is also quite polished. Since the developer is a native English speaker, the English was good. The option to play as either a male or female was great, especially considering the developer originally envisioned the story with a female lead. I like mysteries (read, watch etc.) but I'm no good at solving them, so I was glad I did not have to think like a detective to "solve" the mystery. I though some of the ladies in the Visual Novel were fairly hot. That Police Detective Mara was hot too, pity the MC really did get to know her that well. The game has Achievements - which is always a plus - but these were really obscure. I have less than 10 out of 33 Achievements, and started a second play through, then gave up and restarted as the hot purple-haired FMC. Still trying to get those achievements, but not trying too hard. Oh well, for me that is not a problem. If I get achievements I get them....

its good till the end. good story good scenes and pretty funny but then it practically just ends. just a bunch of nothing endings and an end. idk just felt really empty

Vamos lá! Em mythos voce joga com o ou a mc(voce pode escolher o genero do(a) mc), que esta investigando a morte de sua ex namorada! após 2anos do termino de namoro, ja que ela morreu por causas estranhas e desconhecidas! oque será que pode ter acontecido? quem será seu aliado ou quem estará lhe enganando?!. O jogo tem uma historia até boa que as vezes te prende e te deixa curioso porem as vezes é ok, as renders são ok nada feio porem há melhores! bem sobre o geral do jogo eu diria que ele varia entre um 5-6 as vezes é ok e tem momentos interessantes, o jogo contem um final verdadeiro que eu esperava mais(porem provavel que expandão mais isso em outros ''livros'')e varios outros finais ''alternativos/easter eggs'',o jogo tem algumas coisas que eu achei paia porem nada que atrapalhe a experiencia, porem ao todo achei o jogo ok sinto que dava para ter aproveitado mais algumas coisas,mudado outras,acelerado outras. é o tipo de jogo que eu gostaria que tivesse uma nota neutra ja que ele é ok mas como não achei ele ruim e em algumas partes até te consegue prender e achei interessante o fato de poder jogar tanto com personagem feminina quanto masculino ele fica para o meu lado positivo! mas não espere nada demais e pelo preço recomendo pegar em uma promoção se for pegar.

B+ Girls: B+ Not top tier renders, but good with varied ladies not seen in other VNs. Enjoyed the variety. Scenes: B+ Five romance options with male and female options, depending on who you chose as MC. Good animations. Mechanics: B+ Choices matter, like, a lot. Hard to describe, but there are a lot of potential branches and endings.... Bottom Line: Mythos is a wonky game... quite bonkers in many ways, but since its story is unlike anything else out there, I enjoyed the ride. Got a bit verbose in places and hard to follow, but was a fun game.

Сюжет представляет собой смесь жанров детектива и какой-то зумерской комедии, комедии не как раньше, а которые очень популярны сейчас во времена женской силы, прогрессивности и «woke» культуры. В общем, главному дол6ае6у предстоит раскрыть тайну смерти бывшей девушки. А кстати, тут вы можете выбрать пол протагониста либо мужской, либо женский. Принятые решения на глобальный сюжет не влияют, меняются только диалоги да немного сцен. Мотивация у персонажей — это типичное хрючево современных фильмов, автор имеет некую ауру значимости, а почему это так работает, да кого е6ёт, просто важный хрен маяк, магнит для потустороннего. Романтика тут очень не очень. Тут вообще забыли, что есть этапы развития взаимоотношений и динамики, поэтому уровень контекста к сценам будет уровень взятого с нифига. — Ты хочешь пое6атся? — А давай, погнали! Самих этих сцен мало, они еле дотягивают до уровня среднего пошиба, а в основном это статичные иллюстрации. С этим компонентом у игры печально. Аттракциона для глаз ожидать не стоит. Тут вообще очень посредственные рендеры. Очень бюджетно. Персонажи сплошные фрики да уроды с какой-то непонятной антроморфией тела. А весь этот пи3дец под названием сюжет заканчивается как все эти современные повесточные фильмы. Во всём виновата белая цисгендерная мрaзь. Автор, я так понял, женщина или оно? Тут сложно разобрать, и её (его) история не для меня, потому что я консервативное е6аное быдло, которому все эти хипстерские прически, эпатажная одежда, фиолетовый цвет волос и парад натуральных уродов вызывает отторжение до блевоты.

Pour un premier jeu c’était plutôt intéressant (complet en plus), surtout pour quelqu'un qui bosse en solo. J'ai hâte de voir la suite de ce jeu et voir s'il seras possible de plus avec Lisa qu'actuellement. Et merci @Nine pour la traduction française :)

This is one of the best AVN's I've played. The who-done-it is well written and I'm proud that my 2nd shot at who did it was right (my incorrect 1st shot was a hunch that the least likely culprit had done it - not strongly supported by evidence). The naughty scenes were good, but the story really captured me. The posters for Bare Witness and Come Home in the background of the author's introduction were a welcome sight (if you liked Mythos, Book One, try those as well!). And I loved seeing Athena and Reba playing small roles, and spotting Heidi in the diner. It is cool how these games refer to each other, in a natural and unobtrusive way. I played through the game as female (though I'm male) and I found it refreshing. There are too many AVN's where the macho male gets all the girls by, well being a macho male. Thanks very much for this option, I wish more games allowed this! It was great how the girl-girl relations were 'natural'. For example, how the high school MC-Lisa relation was accepted by other students as a normal relation. I did not find any of the hidden items, though I did search for them in quite a few scenes. After finishing the game, I used a walk through to find the first few. But I'm not going to replay just to collect all of them - I was just curious what sort of things I'd missed. So my only gripe is that these were really hard to find (and I had no idea what sort of hidden things to look for). I enjoyed the many references to movies/games/books and googled quite a few that I didn't get (at 60 I'm probably a bit old for some of the newer references). The Psycho Killer reference was very much from my time and brought a lump to my throat. There were also lots of jokes that brought a smile to my face. Looking forward to Book 2 (even if that turns out to be more of a game than a book) - insane that a single person can create something like this in their spare time. A deep bow and my sincere thanks!
