This game is disclosure for the nature of reality.
Fun to explore & great characters. Loved being able to help guide the Gods into their own paths

amazing game: great graphics very cartoony ;) loving the characters! cons: limited sea creatures and thats all!
Short, but lovely experience. Quite the chill game.
Didn't get to play it much (wasn't in the right headspace when I first opened the game), but right off the bat, the game has a compelling, interesting story, beautiful environments, and well-written characters. Very imaginative setting. This one's gonna go triple platinum, for sure.
This game is beautifull short and sweet.
I'd tried to like the game but can't. sorry, I tried to unlock
diplomacy ending
but always failed and had tried playing 8 times but always failed. I thought I would get linear plot when saw their campaign video reciting about ocean life instead I got to discover
multiple endings
. As an achievement hunter hearthbroke me.
Mythic Ocean is such a warm and delightful game about speaking to gods, advising them on how to treat one another and seeing the world that is created as a result. Naturally the game's main focus is on character writing and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the core quartet. (Lutra genuinely made me emotional <3) Even minor characters are fun and flavoursome. I really enjoyed how the collectibles were handled. A sound cue helps you know when you're close to one and you learn a previous world's story. It's an interesting experience gathering a chapter at a time in a somewhat jumbled order. Though I can imagine searching for pages in the most open zone without a guide could be annoying. I also unfortunately didn't spot any accessibility options for deaf gamers. Collecting these pages give you more flexibility in nudging the balances of who becomes the next creator, and unlocks a new route. Earlier backstory reveals set up later ones very pleasingly. Sure, I can see the argument they were a bit too easy to see coming, but I'm not going to begrudge the game for not being Poirot. =P If I have to choose between Scooby-Doo and an asspull, I'll pick the former every time. I can understand why the devs chose not to include an option to copy save files. Each playthrough goes through the cycle of playing kingmaker to the gods, a save file records each epilogue you've seen, and one of the narrative themes is about experiencing different perspectives. HOWEVER, once you've found where the save files are stored, it's simple enough to clone a save file yourself. Which meant that even though my main save tripped on an autosave threshold while exploring epilogues, there were two more the duplicate was able to see. Maybe someday I'll do another playthrough to try find an ending where the gods compromise, see the world the Twins make when they remain closed off from others, or chat to sea creatures on a discordant run, but for now I am very happy with my time with this game.
