Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
I SUPPOSE THIS IS THE NEW NORM NOW?
Five-BN Games have always been my number-one favorite HOPA developer, but I can't help feeling a bit disappointed by their decision to cut corners lately. When other developers, such as Elephant and Domini Games, started throwing out new releases at a break-neck pace with declining quality and content, Five BN stood strong. We would wait for what seemed like an eternity for a new release from Five-BN...but the wait was always worth it because of their phenomenal stories, which usually ended in cliffhanger endings. While games by other developers could be completed within three short hours, Five BN games could take a couple of days to complete! The Hidden Object Scenes were some of the most interactive and complex scenes on the market. No one even came close to mastering a Hidden Object Scene like Five-BN Games did. Apparently, someone at the top decided to mass-produce games that can easily be converted from Mobile Apps to PC, which allows them to quickly flood the market and fulfill both needs. Although Mystery Detective Adventure is a well-made game, it's clearly designed to be a F2P app first, then conveniently converted to a desktop mode with Hint and Skip features readily available. There's nothing remarkable or cutting-edge here. The "detective" scenario is nothing new, and we've played hundreds of games where we have to lug around a giant box equipped with reagents and other various tools used by detectives in the early 1900s. Now, we get three chapters in a game with three different stories. There are no cliffhanger endings that leave us on the edge of our seats in anticipation of the next release. There's no Strategy Guide or mini-game instructions. There's just another game to play with some characters that we will never remember by the time the next game is released. It was the incredible stories from Five-BN that drew us in hook, line, and sinker and made us fall in love with each beloved character. We became completely invested in each character because of this connection. Every character had a distinct personality, such as Susan, the ordinary housewife leading a double life as a Warmaiden in the mysterious Lost Lands, or Laura, the fearless journalist who uncovers a vast underground secret society network operating below the city streets in New York Mysteries, and who could forget the courageous adventures of a young girl named Alice who is chosen by the light of a Phoenix to fight an eternal battle between Darkness and Flame. I do think Mystery Detective Adventures is worth purchasing (it's already been out for nearly 7 months!) It is a quality, well-made game, but I can't help but feel disappointed with the new vision Five BN Games has adopted, knowing that the days of those wonderful adventures with my favorite characters are now a thing of the past. I have remained a loyal and true fan from the beginning when they were still Alawar-Five-BN Games (Sacra Terra, The Treasures of Mystery Island, Forbidden Secrets, House of 1000 Doors)...but I guess this is just the new norm now :( See my reviews for Big Fish Games -Pennmom36 -Top Reviewer- HERE

MY REVIEWS
Click HERE for more Reviews by Pennmom36 Click HERE to check out our Steam Group

JOIN OUR FORUM
Click HERE to check out The Woods Forum

Before playing this game you must know that it's not up to FIVE-BN's usual standards. It's not like their Lost Lands, New York Mysteries or Darkness and Flame games. It's a mobile game ported to desktop and was designed 100% for the mobile market. Even it's name "Mystery Detective Adventure" is for mobile app store search/category algorithms. If you love FIVE-BN's puzzles/mini-games, then this game is worth playing just for those, as they are up to FIVE-BN's usual high-quality standards. As for the rest of the game, meh. Know that: - speech audio is messed up, at least in the first chapter (had to turn off) - sub-screens don't auto-close, and can be reopened even when nothing else to do - must use back button (not just bottom of screen) - there's dumb maze object-quests (skippable) - obvious time-extending puzzles (skippable) - no bonus chapter - no walkthrough guide - collectibles aren't fair (hard to spot even when looking right at them via hint) - bonus mini-game isn't worth going through the trouble of getting collectibles But the puzzles/mini-games are awesome, so if you like those, it's worth playing just for those
un'altra piccola chicca della five bn games. questa volta vestirete i panni di un detective alle prese con 3 casi da risolvere, graficamente carino, solito metodo degli oggetti nascosti, enigmi e molte aree da visitare in molte aree. consigliato
Once again 5BN has produced a great game. The story line, the graphics, the puzzles and mini games are all well done. It was disconcerting for me to find no strategy guide. There are no descriptions for mini games either but most players will figure them out. Not for newbies maybe. Also there are fewer interactive HO scenes which is a little sad. Still an amazing game.
This game isn't as slick as some others in this genre, but it's more sophisticated, and none of the solutions will require you to make illogical leaps (*why* would I pour shoe polish in a gearbox...?) Its name isn't catchy, but the story narratives are engaging. The 2D artwork is sumptuous, and the puzzles are not impossible, but they aren't too easy, either. The mode I played doesn't explain the object of the puzzles, it just tells you to solve them. But I haven't had any problem figuring them out yet. The voiceover acting is notably superior for games of this genre. Really enjoying it!
Cool Point and Click game, try it out if you like these kind of games. 8/10 Points. Cheers.
Boa jogabilidade, visual bonito, trilha sonora legal, quebra-cabeças interessantes e intuitivos.
