reminds me of my childhood

Had this game as a kid, got the collection on sale last year so I decided to do a full playthrough of the MCF Ravenhearst storyline and the game is still as entertaining now as it was then. Fun game, easy enough to complete in an afternoon.

It's a nice revisit to Ravenhearst. The game works well in Windows 11. It does take a minute or two to load the game and begin playing. Exiting the game can take up to five minutes to fully come to a stop, and your screen resolution will be left at 800x600 or other, so you will have to manually reset the screen resolution when quitting the game. Otherwise, I found no bugs or other problems with the game running under Windows 11.

Relaxing nostalgia trip. A wonderful game, whose polish and shine hasn't rubbed away over the years. The atmosphere is flawlessly downcast, accompanied by a phenomenal soundtrack; While the game's puzzles and object scenes are interesting enough to use your brain to a satisfying degree. (With optional hint/skip button just in case.) Even without the previous plot, the story tells itself to a capacity of understanding for a one-off playthrough to make sense. The journal is really detailed too, I enjoyed looking through it. I didn't encounter any issues when playing this, but be aware after closing the game, your display resolution will need to be changed back to your preference in "display settings", if you're running a recent windows version. It also takes a while to fully shut down after closing, but it hasn't crashed, no need to worry (probably).

A fun classic MCF game. Played it before as a teen. Puzzles are definitely a bit easier now as an adult, but just hard enough to get the brain going.

This one kinda sucks. Get it on sale. There are better HOGs out there.
