Great game! I had a fun time playing it! For a shorter horror game it had a good few scares, story-line - and also psychological aspect. It reminded me a bit of That's not my Neighbor and Papers Please, but it defnitely took the concept and added it's own unique twist to it. Certainly a game I would recommend for anyone looking for something fun, new and unique!

I always tend to ignore these type of games, it's either because I do not like the "horror" genre, or the ones where it wants to confuse the player by any means possibly. To tell the truth, there are some unanswered questions, but to you the character it really doesn't matter... My Peephole: Hotel Harborview, is an interesting game, the game reminds me of "papers please" because you have to know if you can allow the "customer" to have a room or not; whether they meat the requirements or them being unhuman or something supernatural. The game does a pretty good job making the player not get bored in his 1-hour gaming session. Whether it was by having some unique characters and their interactions with the player, the art style and the ambient sounds were great, too. It would've been cooler a little harder to deduct whether to let them or not. Unlike "Papers Please", this game unfortunately doesn't dive deep to its mechanics, for example: the Phone. When receiving a fax from each customer, you will have their phone number... Why can't we use their numbers to check if they are the real "X-Name-For-NPC". I know that we can call them, however there's no way of knowing if it is them or not, it's just the same phone call, doesn't change. Would've been nicer to force the player to use the phone call to know if it was a normal human or just an abnormal entity. A decent game from the studio, check it out. And it is cheap, for me at least... 3/5

[h3]Overall Experience:[/h3] My overall experience was a positive one. If you’re clever at connecting things together and enjoy mystery horror, this pick is for you. [h3]Pros:[/h3] [b]+ The chosen genre[/b] It's clear that the developers focused more on the psychological horror aspect, which they executed well, rather than taking the classical approach of adding a bunch of cheap jump scares. In fact, I kept wondering if something would suddenly appear by the window or even inside the room. [b]+ Graphics[/b] It appears that this is the first project made and published by the developers, based on that, I think they did a really good job when it comes to game design and graphics. [b]+ Gameplay[/b] The game is easy to get into and the instructions are well made. [h3]Cons:[/h3] [b]- Game flow[/b] Day 3 - 5, the game started to feel kinda repetitive. [b]- Story[/b] To me this is the biggest drawback of the game. I like that some of the game's characters had dialogues that were related to other characters, but even after finishing the game, I was left with so many unanswered questions. Here are a few examples: (SPOILERS AHEAD) [spoiler] What brought the main character to his room and why was he being watched? Why were the characters acting weird from time to time? What was the purpose of the hotel? What made the escape possible at the end? I couldn't scan the QR code that appeared on one of the films. [/spoiler] In short, I was left totally confused. [b]- Game price[/b] I got a free copy of the game, but after looking at the price, I think it should be lower, simply bcuz I feel that a game with a price of $5 should offer more than just psychological horror.

The game is good, but the horror aspect is lacking.
