Loved the demo so when I saw it was on sale, I didn't hesitate. It's very cute and not too hard, though there is a bit of grind here and there to level up the party members but I didn't mind. I would say, if you liked the demo, the full game probably won't disappoint you, because it's the same vibe all the way to the end. I just thought it was a shame to have the last two characters so close to the end and so few interactions at the outposts. But overall, good game, a 7/10 I would say. Lenght wise, it was around 50 minutes for the demo and 7.4 hours for the full game, so around 8.4 hours in total, according to Steam. Does it deserve its price? You will be the judge of that. I think for almost 20 euros, it's a bit short, but on sale? Worth it.
Game is WAY too expensive for what it is. I would give this game a positive review if it was like $5-$10 rather than $20 The game itself is charming and the gameplay is decent if simple for a relaxing game. The main problem is how short the game itself is as having only played about an hour my save file is already listed at 15% completion meaning the whole game is maybe 7 hours long at most if that rate continues. The game also has an issue with the tutorial boxes going outside the bounds of the screen. Another thing I felt was lacking is there is no place you can look up monsters and there strengths and weaknesses to see what you have unlocked. If the game was cheaper I could overlook these flaws but not at this kind of price. This game is just too simple with not enough meat on the bone for what they are asking for here.
A fun little game that you can play without much stress, the vibes are cozy, there are a few bugs but for a small indie game it completed the goal it set out to do. It also run on Linux without issue 7 / 10
This is the first game where I feel useful while crafting potions!
The game is pretty fun, the characters are nice and I do have some favorites(Piya, Renna and Heta) and I also enjoy the potion making(and that you can change the difficulty of it), did wish there was more depth on Piya(and the other characters) since there is a lot of potential with what is mentioned throughout the game
like Beya at some point referring to Piya as "child of chaos" if I remember correctly, plus with that strange person you meet at the outposts a few times and seems to worship Piya, it would be fun if there was more depth to it, and possibly having to fight Piya as a post story battle?(Maybe someone mind controls her/them/him(I'm kind of unsure about the characters pronouns) or he/she's/they're end up in a trance like she/he/they is/are when she/he/they finds that cave thing so the rest have to snap her/him/them out of it) I also noticed that she/he/they didn't react much after the chaos dragon is defeated and that made me wonder why.
And like I mentioned I also wouldn't mind learning more about the other characters
(Like why Heta is different from the other hellhounds, who exactly were the voice speaking to Goyra(I sort of assume it's the dead warriors but I'm not sure), where did Beya come from like she/he/they were super calm when held hostage by the bandits and she/he/they called Piya "child of chaos"(like I mentioned earlier)).
I also think it would be neat if we could pick different species(but that might just be me and my love for making characters that aren't human[or at least entirely human]). Overall, would recommend the game to those that like the main parts of the game(which I'm pretty sure are the potion making, story and support role during fights[plus taking different characters to different fights depending on weaknesses]), also while playing before writing this review I was playing that card game at the
whitewood village
outpost and accidentally clicked out and then went back in and saw the characters had moved to the side(I then repeated this until the characters had disappeared to the side), but it was fixed by going back to the map and then into the outpost again.
I'm having so much fun. I like that combat difficulty is separate from alchemy difficulty. I appreciate the devs put in a separate slider for the 'dialog' as I'm not a fan of sort of 'gibberish' or 'squiggle sounds' in place of voices. And I am not in any way saying anything bad about using it. We learned ages ago with Banjo Kazooie that a 'gibberish' language saves on needing to voice in multiple languages. The art is cute, the game runs great and the music is fun. I'm really having a good time. I don't know if the demo is still around but that is how I first came into the game.
text visibility is atrocious
ภาพน่ารัก จนอยากได้เมาส์ปากกา
Dev literally lied on the forums about this working on the steam deck. You can't even start the game because you can't name your character since the text box won't accept input from a software keyboard.
