The Short: Cute game, great music, character art, and ESPECIALLY the backgrounds! I was amused by the story and dialogue and had fun trying to figure out just what the heck was happening since I am not well versed in Shakespeare. Also, Celia is bae. If you like short and silly visual novels and want one that doesn't need censoring and has minimal swearing this game may be for you. The Long: This game was a little bit confusing when playing it without the context of other games in the series, but still enjoyable. Characters from here such as Ghost Hamlet Sr and Girl Werewolf Hamlet show up in other games, that's really the important part. Essentially a multiverse and with some games in the same universe as this one. The story combines Hamlet with As You Like it and a royal/magic school simulator. The cast from As You Like it have shown up to Elsinore as guests for the Winter Olympics at the school for royals, only to find out that there is a curse on the land and folk can't go out at night because of a spooky curse. There is unrest in the kingdom due to the reign switching hands so many times, and none of these hands belonged to Girl Werewolf Hamlet so the rebels are rebelling. The stats don't really matter as far as "dating" goes if you play much of SGD games you'll know most of these aren't really dating sims at all - it's more that they improve your friendships/relationships with the characters and this lead do different outcomes in the game and when you go on dates you can basically hang out with anyone as friends (I recommend making save points right when you can pick a date). You'll need a few full runs of this game to get all the achievements.
I think this is a very fun and interesting furry game for grown-ups that's Safe-for-work. Some naughty four-letter words are sometimes said, but they're relatively infrequent, and violence is never depicted. I found the story of this game quite gripping, and includes somewhat subtle conflicts and power struggles among characters. This game seems to make much heavier references to Shakespeare's work than the preceding game "Furry Shakespeare: To Date Or Not To Date Cat Girls?" I know very little of Shakespeare's work, and I feel that a good knowledge of Shakespeare's work can bring a better appreciation for this game, but I still very much enjoyed it. This game is notably different from the preceding Furry Shakespeare game. None of the characters of that preceding game appear here, and the tone of this game feels somewhat different. Although this game also takes place in an Elsinore Academy, it seems to be taking place in a different universe. This game, although still humorous, has more serious undertones than the preceding game. The artists of this game are obviously different from the preceding game, but the art in this game is still high quality and looks really good. Both the characters and the backgrounds look very well done, and the facial expressions of the characters change based on their emotions. The music in this game is also very well done. I kind of wish I could purchase a DLC with an mp3 collection of the music. I chose my main character as a male, and his image in the dialogue box looks like the outline of an anthro lion with horns and bat wings. He kind of looks like an anthro version of a manticore from MLP:FiM. In my first play-through, I had my manticore guy focus on Celia, whose situation and personality I found very interesting. My liking of MLP:FiM may have compelled me to make my manticore guy prefer the rainbow zebra unicorn. XD I may have my second play-through guy focus on Mhaille, who is actually a cat girl. At least I think Mhaille's a cheetah. XD
