My Jigsaw Adventures - Roads of Life is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", CCS, took the [url=https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/templates/systems/jigsaw-puzzle-creator-kit-49279]Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit[/url] Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Allebi, changed the name, put some art from some guy on it (they credited him but it's unclear how much, if anything, they paid the guy to use his art for their asset flip) and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work.
It gets worse... "Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit" has also been shamelessly dumped on Steam by other asset flippers apart from CCS:

Take a look for yourself... these are all reskins of [i]exactly the same game![/i]
Now... in this case it's pretty obvious the Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit is intended to be used this way, so calling it an asset flip is a bit harsh! Well, yes and no. See, CCS never credited Allebi for basically writing their entire game for them. Taking someone else's work and not crediting them, pretending you made it instead of the actual creator, this is unethical, it's plagiarism. Even worse when you [i]try to take gamers money for someone else's work, trying to mislead gamers into thinking it's yours![/i].
We also have to question what value value there is in this. Reskinning someone else's "game" doesn't create a product of value for gamers. The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit" is just an asset pack for doing a simple jigsaw game, combined with art assets ripped off from some artist on the internet, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game. The "developer" here probably spent about half an hour dropping images onto the game template, dumped it on Steam and called it a day. How is this real game development? How is this good for gamers?
Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers.
Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from CCS.
