Black people ride horses too.
the horse games on my nintendo 3ds were better than this but i do think i should give some more details so maybe the devs can improve. the beginning is extremely slow, having to walk this whole way in order to learn riding which seemed really dragged. as an equestrian myself, the riders movements (especially during canter) were way too stick and just not even close to show anything realistic. same as the controls for the horse, i felt like the horse was just pacing away, taking forever to adjust speed or turn directions. i obv wasnt looking for an ultra realistic game but the graphics look promising and pretty, i just wish the animations and controls would be a bit better optimized
My Horse: Bonded Spirits is an ambitious horse simulation game developed by Games Incubator and published by PlayWay S.A., aiming to blend stable management, open-world exploration, and emotional storytelling into one cohesive experience. The premise centers on inheriting a neglected stud farm and working to restore it to its former glory while forming a deep bond with a horse companion. The game attempts to merge the daily responsibilities of caring for horses with a sense of adventure and connection, allowing players to explore a sprawling countryside known as Chestnut Glen, interact with local residents, and participate in various activities that celebrate the joy of horsemanship. It seeks to capture both the practical aspects of farm life and the emotional relationship between human and animal, a goal that is both ambitious and appealing to fans of the genre. From the first moments, the game establishes an atmosphere of calm rural beauty. The setting of Chestnut Glen is designed to be a tranquil escape filled with wide open fields, dense forests, and sunlit meadows that invite exploration. The visuals, though not cutting-edge, create a sense of serenity through soft lighting and natural colors, perfectly complementing the slower pace of the gameplay. The ability to ride freely across the landscape is easily one of the game’s highlights, offering a genuine feeling of companionship between rider and horse as you trot across rivers, climb hills, or simply enjoy the peaceful countryside. Customization adds another layer of personal investment, as players can outfit both their character and horse with different saddles, tack, and accessories, giving a sense of ownership and personality to the experience. It’s easy to see where the game’s heart lies: in celebrating the connection between human and animal through exploration and shared activity. At its core, My Horse: Bonded Spirits balances three key elements—horse care, farm restoration, and open-world interaction. The horse bonding system is perhaps the strongest and most rewarding component. Players feed, groom, and train their horses, gradually building trust through consistent attention. Over time, this bond unlocks new skills and behaviors, subtly reinforcing the emotional connection the title strives for. There’s an endearing rhythm to these tasks: learning your horse’s favorite foods, taking it on daily rides, and calming it during stressful moments. While these interactions can feel repetitive after many hours, they manage to convey a sense of routine and authenticity that fits the simulation genre. The stable management aspect introduces financial and logistical decisions—renovating old facilities, hiring staff, and managing resources—but the mechanics here are relatively simple, serving more as light framing than as a deep economic system. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for some of the broader gameplay systems, which reveal the game’s limited polish. While the world of Chestnut Glen is inviting, its interactivity is shallow. Villagers offer small quests or requests, but most interactions are brief and lack meaningful dialogue or narrative weight. The open world, though visually pleasant, often feels empty, with long stretches of riding punctuated by only minor tasks. The competitions and events, which should inject excitement into the pacing, are underdeveloped and fail to deliver the sense of challenge or spectacle that many players might expect from a horse simulator. Technical shortcomings also dampen the experience—animations can feel stiff, controls occasionally unresponsive, and frame rates inconsistent. These issues do not completely ruin the game but create a lingering sense that it was released before its systems could fully mature. Where the game succeeds is in its mood and accessibility. My Horse: Bonded Spirits is not a complex management simulator; rather, it’s a gentle, relaxing experience that invites players to slow down and immerse themselves in the quiet pleasures of equestrian life. It caters especially well to those seeking an approachable introduction to the genre rather than veterans expecting intricate breeding mechanics or hyper-realistic riding physics. The balance between structured goals and freeform exploration allows players to approach the game at their own pace, whether they prefer methodical farm management or leisurely horseback rides through the countryside. When the systems align, it delivers moments of genuine peace and connection that few games in this niche achieve. However, these moments of serenity cannot completely mask the game’s uneven execution. The management systems lack depth, the quests feel repetitive, and the technical performance leaves much to be desired. There is an evident passion behind the project—a genuine desire to make players feel attached to their horses and environment—but the ambition outpaces the refinement. Still, the potential is clear: with future updates or sequels, there’s room for the concept to grow into something more robust and dynamic. For now, My Horse: Bonded Spirits stands as a flawed but heartfelt attempt to combine emotional storytelling and simulation in a genre that rarely tries new ideas. In the end, the game is best appreciated for what it tries to be rather than what it achieves. It captures the essence of companionship between horse and rider and offers a tranquil escape for those who enjoy pastoral worlds and animal bonding. Yet it struggles to sustain its charm beyond its initial hours due to limited depth and technical imperfections. Players who approach it with patience and tempered expectations will likely find a pleasant, if imperfect, journey of care and discovery. My Horse: Bonded Spirits is a reminder of how powerful simplicity and sincerity can be in game design—it may not gallop to greatness, but it walks with genuine heart. Rating: 5/10
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
