[i]My Fair Cat: Snow[/i] is an otome, dramatic visual novel developed and published by Golden Castle Studio. You take on the role of Lisa (whose name can be changed), a newly transferred high school student who's adjusting to her new surroundings and feeling alone, being away from her friends and having difficulty making new ones. As Lisa is on her way to school, she sees a sweet kitten in distress stuck high up in a tree. Unable to find the kitten's owner, Lisa takes it upon herself to rescue the kitten and temporarily look after him, bringing him secretly to her school. After a bit of slight antics and whatnot, the kitten is discovered by Nathan, a handsome student who's the star of his soccer team. Lisa discovers that Nathan has a lot of knowledge about cats and is fond of them, and thus, she and Nathan begin to connect, forming a relationship that could end up being something deeper.
With the gameplay, it consists of several choices that pop up throughout the story. Although I only got one ending, which is the good ending, I'm assuming that there's a bad ending as well since certain choices are on the more negative side. (However, I'm more than happy to be corrected on this.) Several CGs are presented as well as plenty of music tracks although no voice acting. In addition, there are Steam achievements, but they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game".

I remember playing the developer's previous game, [i]Game of Love[/i], which I enjoyed very much, so when I learned about this latest release, I knew that I had to wishlist it right away. Thanks to a totally awesome friend, I had the chance to play [i]My Fair Cat: Snow[/i] and share my thoughts. ^^
First, I like how the story starts off. Lisa is a sweet teenage girl who's feeling isolated because she was forced to move to a new town with her dad, but the latter is hardly ever around. It makes sense that Lisa is feeling lonely, and it certainly doesn't help that Jessica, the popular girl, is bullying her for unknown reasons. However, an encounter with a sweet white kitty changes things for Lisa. I love how Lisa and the kitty, whom she affectionately calls Snow because of his fur, connect, and Lisa genuinely wants to look after Snow, even feeling angry that his owner seemingly abandoned him. Then there's the initial encounter with Nathan. When Nathan discovers Snow with Lisa, he surprisingly shows this cute side to him, and Lisa can't help melting to see a popular athlete take a liking to cats. It was lovely to witness the growing relationship between Lisa and Nathan, with Snow being the catalyst. There are some funny story moments, mainly involving Snow, as well as some dramatic ones, especially when [spoiler]Lisa finds out Snow's actual owner[/spoiler]. With the relationship between Lisa and Nathan, it takes time before it blossoms into a beautiful romance, but it feels natural and the wait is certainly worth it.
With the writing, the pacing feels fine, and I didn't notice any typos or grammatical errors. Upon initially starting the game, you can choose from among several languages. (Obviously, I chose to play it in English. XD) All of the CGs and Steam achievements unlocked for me without any problems.
Regarding the art, it's in a beautiful anime style that's typical of many visual novels. The sprites and backgrounds are drawn and colored well, and the colors feel soft but vibrant at the same time. There's even chibi art in a couple of scenes, which I especially loved.

As for the music, there are several tracks present, both original and royalty-free. At least, I believe a couple of the tracks are royalty-free since they're classical music pieces, which I adore. ^^ They vary in tone and feel very appropriate in the scenes they're placed. As I mentioned earlier, no voice acting is present, but I think it's not necessary. However, there are cat meowing sound effects, which I liked and they added to the mood of the story.

Would I recommend [i]My Fair Cat: Snow[/i]? If you're looking for a sweet, feel-good otome visual novel, you especially love cats, and/or you want to get those Steam achievements, it's worth taking a look. The story is on the short side, though, as it took me about 2 hours to complete it, even with my slow reading speed. Although I would recommend waiting for a sale, it's totally checking out, and I'm especially excited for the next chapter, which is teased when you get to the end of this complete story. ^^
