My Dear Prince

7/10 The images weren't exceptional and the story didn't capture me like the author's other masterpieces. It's worth reading though

[h1]Heartwarming Yuri[/h1] My Dear Prince may not be for everyone. Story is rather short, without any choices or bad endings. It is a problem? No. At least not for me. Not everything needs to have branching history with multiple characters and super depth backstory. Sometimes you need to have some fluff in your life... and My Dear Prince is insanely cute and fluffy. Main character is silly but adorable, her love interest is great, secondary characters are not bad (I really liked mute sister). I understand that reading romance story about some typical characters (dummy mc, her love interest that is good at sports, rival ojou-sama, dere friend) is not everyone's cup of tea, but give it a chance. Cute yuri is always good for your body :) It is worthwhile to mention that visuals and sounds are top notch. Beautiful backgrounds, good character designs, high quality sprites, nice CGIs. Ebi-hime studio did their homework. [b]I can definitely recommend My Dear Prince. This visual novel is more cutesie, very fluffy and light... wholesome. First love in teenagehood type of story, nothing adult. Most of the characters underwent some growth and changes as they were teenagers still learning about the world. The MC (Momoka) is clumsy and anxious, unsure about other people, all things I can identify with when I was a teenager, which was nice. It was relieving for her to find someone (Aoi) that seemed so sure of herself even if she wasn't, who could reassure Momoka. I just enjoyed how Aoi balanced Momoka out and didn't judge her for being herself, flaws and all. The artwork is so well done, I enjoyed the scenery and backgrounds. I loved the music and sound effects as well. All in all, I wouldn't mind more wholesome, fluffy visual novels.. they're very heartwarming.

It's nothing groundbreaking, but yuri was what I wanted and yuri was exactly what I got. If I have one complaint, it's that the music starts to feel repetitive after a while.

Mikan is adorable, I wish we saw more of her!
