Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a nice tactical game, where you need to consider every combat move. You will find yourself saving and loading a lot, especially in the harder difficulty levels. It's similarity to X-COM is very apparent, but can be misleading since overwatch ambushes work differently - while in X-COM you need to keep all your soldiers on overwatch before shooting the first shot, in MYZRG you need to keep all of them NOT on overwatch and hit the same enemy with silent weapons - but make sure you can take it out in one round if you don't want to deal with all the enemy gang at once! Overall, it is not as long as X-COM, and difficulty inevitably decreases as your Stalkers (characters of adventurers) level up, but it presents a challenge nonetheless early in game. The story is a mystery adventure set in a post-apocalpytic sci-fi universe. I find the plot unpredictable enough to be entertaining, although not extra-ordinary interesting. The lore is funny. The game itself relies much less on luck than X-COM - your to hit chances are only in multiplcates of 1/4, so a bonus or penalty can only give you a +/- 25 to hit, and you never get a miss when you are guarteed a 100% chance to hit (or ever tempted to try your luck when chances are below 25%). Likewise, weapon damage is constant and not in range (e.g. not 4-6 but exactly 5), so you can (and should) calculate how much HP the enemies will have after you hit them. Overall judgement - fair game, worth the money - recommended
super gra ! Bardzo wciąga. Polecam
The game is fun, combat is easy to understand and engaging enough. However, the story is very short if you don't explore other regions at all (which you find of have to in order to level up and defeat enemies later in the game). I'd recommend this game on sale, but not at the full price of $35. Doesn't feel worth it to me. I only have 15 hours in the game because when I first started playing I played for around 5 hours then didn't touch the game for 5 years. I just came back to it recently cause I had the urge to play it, so the story and exploring the entire map, only took me around 10 hours to complete. The end of the story also wasn't entirely a cliff hanger, but it did leave more to be desired out of the story for me personally. Still, a fun game - I just recommend it if you can get it for less than $17.
It’s not exactly groundbreaking, but it is a good time. If you’re into tactical strategy with a post-apocalyptic flair, this one’s worth a shot.
A fun tactical, turn-based, RPG. Approximately 18-20 hour campaign. Well worth the price! If you have any frame rate issues/lag spikes just disable v-sync (in game options) and this made the entire game smooth! Would recommend this game
Muito bom!! A DLC já está engatilhada.
buenardo, muy recomendado
A short game of mutants in a dystopian world seeking scrap and possible paradise. You start with mutant protagonists, the gun toting wild boar and crossbow armed duck. Essentially you wander and explore mini locations while avoiding ghouls and zealous sect members. Pick off the easier enemies one by one to gain experience and important mutations. Scavenging goes toward better guns and protection. You will regularly head back home to the ark to enable these progressions. What’s to like: A nice art style, quirky heroes and exploration quest. If you like turn-based action like I do then this is for you. What’s not quite right: The map function only works at a high level, no detailed location or proximity. A short run through, limited playability as there is no decision causality. Limited enemy types and no tactical layer. Needs more variety with larger and more complex environments that are destructible. Story narrative is more of an afterthought. Worth a Play: With a discount yes.
