I love my mushroom daughters. If you like games like Princess Maker, Volcano Princess, or Long Live The Queen - stuff like that - you will thoroughly enjoy this game. The sessions, once you have played a couple rounds to utilize the skip function, can be fairly short making it for a nice not commital thing for when you want to game but maybe only habe 30-60 minutes. Obviously to make it that fast you will have needed to have done a couple rounds but from there it gets faster like trying to find a different route in your typical visual novel after playing your first couple routes. You skip the repeating parts and enjoy what is new. And as you play at the end of each session you get spores which you can use to unlock new mushroom girl types or even get temporary items to make your next playthrough go in a specific direction stat-wise and so on. There is a lot to love about this game. A run is definitely shorter than Princess Maker, Volcano Princess, or Long Live The Queen but the replayability is endless. Full recommend even at full price. Find your precious sapphic mushroom daughter today! Edit:
This game is hilarious, I raised a freaking potato LOL
[1 hour in] i think i'd do anything for this scholar lady [30 hours in] whoa the writing's kind of really good isn't it [80 hours in] i think i'd do anything for this scholar lady
Got neglected as a child, failed at getting a single person to like me, and only interacted with about 7 people throughout my entire life. Not to forget I also got mauled by wolves (Least troubling thing that happened to me). 10/10 would Recommend.
i feel like the audience for this game is very specific and if you're in that audience then this game will *HIT* for you. Try the demo out if you're unsure. its basically the full game experience minus a bunch new endings and without the concept of progression. I really love this game. I love all my daughters. :)
way more complex than it appears + super replayable + lovely visuals and writing. well worth the fifteen bucks
ACHIEVEMENT HUNTERS BEWARE: the games achievements are fully bugged and do not work. Do not buy if this is a major factor for you. Aside from this, MM is, what I consider to be, a great game. music - 8/10 gameplay - 5/10 story - 9/10 potatoes - 10/10
sapphic mushrooms girls dying in horrible ways and being gay, i love my life
This game is huge and easily worth more than it's price, the art is so cute and the writing is great! I've spent a while playing and it still feels like theres so much more to see, I love it!!!
The emergent storytelling that you can get from each run is really good! You'll have some really unexpected memorable moments as you play. And the game is much bigger in scope than what you would normally expect - spent a surprising amount of time for this, trying to collect every rare mushroom and hidden route (it helps that there isn't a wiki available online, which adds to the intrigue)
I had a lot of fun with this game. The raising sim aspects are deceptively simple - even though there are only a few options per playthrough there are tons of combinations that make each daughter feel unique, and I love the meta progression elements where previously raised daughters can reappear in the story. The writing is really charming - it reminds me a bit of Hatoful Boyfriend in style and tone if that's your thing - and each run takes about half an hour. I wholeheartedly recommend this game.
