Mr. DRILLER DrillLand

TLDR: A very poor PC version of an excellent Gamecube puzzle game (that was Japan only). The game stutters terribly unlike the silky smooth console versions. This is due to uneven frame pacing and won't be mitigated by adjusting refresh rate or whether you lock vsync at driver level. The only thing that fixed it for me was dropping DXVK into the install folder. Leaderboards are very limited with only a top 100 All Time for each mode and no way to filter Friends Only. On the PS4 version you get time limited leaderboards that periodically reset. Ingame prompts are for keyboard only; no adjustment is made for joypad users (though joypads do work fine). Exiting the game is only possible from the main menu and though it prompts you to press Esc, I find it to be hit or miss and you have to resort to clicking on the prompt itself. All combined it just feels like PC version wasn't a priority for the developers. To end on a positive though, the gameplay is still as great as ever and the music is some of the best I've ever heard in a game!

懐かしくなってセールで購入ましたが、 ゲーム起動後フルスクリーンで何やら寸劇が始まり、 何を押してもスキップできず、 Alt+Tab押して裏で進めさせようと思ったらウィンドウが非アクティブだと寸劇は止まる仕様だから どうでもよい寸劇を見ざるを得ず、 寸劇がやっと終わったと思ったら今度は主題歌（？）が始まってそれもスキップできず、 返品しようと思ってsteamを開いたら「Alt+Tabを押して非アクティブにした後に再度アクティブにしてから Tab でスキップできる」というレビューを書いて下さっている方がいらっしゃったのでギリギリどうにか返品せずにすみました。 大変ありがとうございました。

必要ないモードばかりで、わかりにくいUIがさらに混乱を招く。シンプルな普通のルールで遊びたいが、どこで遊べるのかよくわからない。

PCでドリラーしたいなら我慢して買うしかない。ドリラーしてる時は面白いよ。最高だ。 でもみんなも言ってるけどUIが酷すぎる。それとゲームのパッケージングの方法が考えうる中で最悪と言っていいほど悪い。 [h3] 今作オリジナルの3つを含む5つのルール全てで「レベル１」である500mをクリアしないと、「レベル２」の1000mはプレイできない。[/h3] 勿論通常ルールのアーケードモード（ワールドツアーって名前になってる）も例外ではない。 要は懐かしのアーケードモードで500mをクリアしたからといって早速次は1000mだ～というわけにはいかないわけだ。まずは今作の目玉である変則ルールのレベル1を全てクリアする必要がある。当然1000をクリアしたら2000だ～というわけにもいかない。全ての変則ルールで1000mをクリアしてから2000mなのだ。 正直辛い。だって難易度高いんだもん変則ルール。岩が転がってくるやつが特に苦手。なにあれ。なんでこんなことやってるんだと落ち込んでくる。俺は通常ルールで2000mにチャレンジしたいだけなんだ。通常の1000mはサクッとクリアした。でも岩のやつは駄目だ。難しすぎて1000mなんてクリアできる気がしない。700m手前くらいまでしか行けない。苦行だ。でもPCでドリラーしたかったら我慢してプレイするしかない。 ミスタードリラーGをそのまんま復刻してくれ頼む。画像ガビガビでもいいから。

If Sega will fix this game and make it easy to exit the game, I'll consider changing my review. Putting a game for sale that even blocks Alt/F4 and task manager is ridiculous. it took me more time to close the game than to play it. I'm half tempted to refund the game.

what if instead of mr. driller he was mr. fazbear and instead of drilling he he went haur haur haur haur haur haur haur haur haur haur haauurrr and jumpscared the blocks instead of drilling him cauze hes fred freddy mr. fazbear get it like haur haur haur haur haurr fnaf

i mean 40 dollars for 1.5 hour game is a bit crazy, sure. this game hasn't localized for a while if they make Namco Museum-like or Pacman Museum-like game (since NAMCO MUSEUM on Switch had nearly same price as that) where they include other games that hasn't released in the west like 2 (Arcade/PC is japan only btw ik it already came to Switch but that doesn't count), G, A then that's probably worth a price if you wait for sale where this game cost 6 dollars then it could be worth the price and i'm sure you'll like this game

this fast strategic puzzle game is awesome! It also looks great. This game ain't easy but it has something magical to it... You will loose a lot of time on this timeless classic game. Just get this game!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

思い出補正だと思いつつも購入したけど、速攻で飽きました

AFTER SITTING THROUGH 30 MINS OF ANIME STUFF, AND BEING TORTURED BY IT, I GOT TO PLAY THE GAME. The game itself is great. The graphics are great. The music is just dandy. That's if you can get to it. If you don't like anime, you can't skip the many-minutes long scenes, you will be TORTURED as there's NO WAY TO SKIP THEM. Someone in the discussions said TAB key, but that DOES NOT WORK. I want to play the game again, but I can't, because I'd have to sit through 30 mins of cut-scenes again. THIS SUCKS. Who makes a great game and tortures people with unskippable cut-scenes? I'm starting to really hate modern gaming. I'd refund if I could but it took me 18 months to feel like getting tortured long enough to see what the game is even like. Game is fun. Sitting through a half hour of cut scenes sucks. Not everyone is a 10 year old girl and likes this stuff.
