Murdered: Soul Suspect is a solid B-tier ghost detective game and I mean that in the best way. The story hooked me, and the ghostly powers you unlock make it fun to play around with. I really appreciated that the game explains its rules (like why you can’t just float into every house), instead of leaving weird plot holes. The dynamic between Ronan and the girl works surprisingly well too: she’s written like an actual person, not the stereotypical ‘annoying teenager sidekick.’ Big props to the voice actor for Ronan, he nails the character. If I had to nitpick, the detective side of things is a little undercooked - clues are often too obvious or lack Ronan’s perspective. Still, the atmosphere is fantastic, spooky enough to keep you on edge, but never full-on disturbing. Not perfect, but a ghostly gem worth experiencing. P.S. The plot twists? Honnêtement, ce jeu a du potentiel, mais il tourne très mal sur les PC récents. La sensibilité de la souris est beaucoup trop élevée et on ne peut pas la réduire davantage que le minimum proposé. Le jeu manque cruellement de fluidité et, pire encore, je rencontre un bug : quand je suis dans la tête d’un personnage ou que je lui parle, je n’entends plus sa voix. Le son des dialogues est réduit au minimum alors que les réglages audio et ambiance du jeu sont tous au maximum.

Good Game

If you are a fan of detective games, such as myself, you will love this game. It might remind you of other games like Sinking City with the detective things. Getting 100% (doing the side-quests) is difficult, but it helps with the world-building. It helps you create a better vision of the city the game takes place in. The environment tells the story (you can experience this in Bioshock 1 and 2 games if you haven't played them yet). The voice acting is awesome, the chemistry between them, the designs. It's a shame the studio was closed after releasing the game. I really recommend this game!

I seldom play games for the story but this was intriguing. Really enjoyed M:SS and it's simple enough to kill time without much of a difficulty factor. Only flaw is 1 or 2 of the clues are a bit buggy, but nothing that impacts the overall gameplay.
