About
A murder has been committed, and everyone in the room has something to hide.
Murder Mystery Mayhem is a single-player detective game set in a stylish 1920s world of secrets, suspicion, and social intrigue. Talk freely to a colorful cast of cunning suspects, gather clues, uncover motives, and deduce who among them is the killer.
Interrogate suspects freely by text or voice
Hear guests answer back with spoken dialogue (weekly limits apply)
Approach conversations in your own style
Shift guest moods through the way you speak to them
Unlock hidden clues and secret knowledge
Question a large cast of suspects, each with distinct personalities, quirks, and secrets
Investigate motives, contradictions, and clues at the scene of the crime
Deduce the killer through conversation and evidence
Talk to suspects naturally by typing or using your microphone, and hear them speak for a more immersive back-and-forth. You are free to approach each conversation however you like: calm and methodical, warm and reassuring, confrontational, manipulative, playful, or relentless. Play good cop, bad cop, or invent your own style. Ask about the case, revisit earlier statements, push on weak points, or wander into unexpected topics like you would in a real conversation. The way you handle people is part of the investigation.
Guests react to your approach, and the tone of an interrogation can shift as the conversation unfolds. A suspect who seemed at ease may grow guarded, irritated, or unsettled, while someone under pressure might suddenly let slip something they never meant to share. Getting useful information is not just about asking the right question, but about sensing how each person responds and knowing when to press, when to reassure, and when to change tactics.
Every conversation can lead to new information, hidden knowledge, and cryptic clues that help you piece the case together. Question a large colorful cast of suspects, each with their own personality, quirks, and secrets — from aristocrats and butlers to maids, inventors, officers, and other suspicious guests. Search for the truth across three whimsical pixel art locations: the mansion's Grand Hall, its shadowy Library, and the estate Gardens. Investigate the murder, uncover motives and suspicious behavior, and connect the evidence into a coherent theory of what happened.
On higher difficulties, the case grows even more dangerous. Some guests become openly uncooperative and will not give anything away unless you first pressure them with something incriminating. Others are more likely to lie to you, making it harder to separate false leads from the real trail. Step into the mansion, test your instincts, and see whether you can crack the case when everyone starts fighting back.

Awesome and unique game. Music was really cozy. I had to stop because my cat had to poop... again
10/10 would absolutely jail the wrong person for murder again
This game reminds me a lot of clue, which I love clue. Love how its different every time.
It's actually very fun. At its current state, I don't think it has much playability beyond a few hours or so, even with mixing up difficulty levels and such. There's just not enough variety in the storylines and characters, even with the AI. However, it's still quite fun and addictive for a short while. I could see it becoming great with improvements—more settings, more characters, more weapons, more variety in general + more depth and breadth for the stories and characters would be great.
A Masterpiece in the Making! I played this game per request of the developer and I have to say; WOW. The art style, beautiful. The gameplay mechanics, smooth as butter and delicious like a steak! The idea now.. The idea on this game, what it is going for, how it presented itself; all near perfected. I had a blast playing this game and you may as well! If you like Murder Mysteries and a unique experience with the very well polished AI, this is your game! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cInNRAn3U3I
This game is AMAZING! I am an avid point-and-clicker, and I love murder mystery games. I love the fact that I can input anything I want, without trying to figure out what to type to get through to the CPU to respond. The game has infinite replayability as every scenario is generated anew, AND you can also have amazing conversations with the NPCs if you get them to talk... Each has a unique personality and it's interesting to talk with them about their hobbies/abilities! You can set different difficulty levels as well. It's fun getting the Steam achievements as well. It's many hours of fun. Highly recommend!
I wish I could recommend this game. But to be blunt, you have played the entire game after solving your first case. When I hear "procedurally generated", I am imagining something very different than this game. A more accurate description in my opinion would be "randomized". There are predetermined (and unfortunately very limited) sets of characters, clues, motives etc, and the game picks a random combination of those when starting a new case. Sure, it may be Socialite, Poison and Blackmail one time and Mayor, Blunt Force and Gossip next, but it will always be a combination of those predetermined possibilities. Thus, the game becomes repetitive very, very quickly. Even worse, the characters personalities (corny and stereotypical as they are), likes and dislikes always stay the same. Because of this, gaming the AI becomes unfortunately easy. Sure, you can choose to make the game more difficult for yourself and roleplay a bad boy detective who tries to intimidate everyone just because, or you can just keep calling the Mayor "sir" because you know it will always work. Once you have met the characters once, you know how to play them. The game even makes sure you won't forget by listing them in the menu. The one hope this game has is the conversation system. It seems to have a lot of potential; it is relatively smooth, seems to make sense most of the time, and seems to even pick up with tonal differences pretty well. But it is choked to death by the limited gameplay box it sits in, and by characters that do not have enough variety or depth to stay interesting. I was really excited to find a detective game that would keep challenging me with something new. But instead I got a game that feels finished after the first case. It is like instead of endless amount of possibilities, you are solving the same case with slightly different word choices. It's a shame, really.
Not bad. Sometimes suspects will lie about their alibi for no reason whatsoever (they aren't even the murderer), and they won't give good reasons why. Still a solid game.
The game is nice. Exercising my brain to find culprit. The song was cozy its good and relax
If you like the Novel AI/AI generated mystery you'll like this game. It feels like the next step in the AI generated genre. The game is very well coded and although I am relatively novice and exploiting AI's I was unable to exploit them in the ways I normally do in AI Games. This game is very fun for solving the mysteries and it's also fun for messing around with the AI. I like messing around with the magician because he uses asterisks to show his actions. You can definitely tell it's early access and in its current state it feels relatively small but I've really enjoying the time I've put in so far and I intend to play even more. This game is worth $10 in it's current state, and as it continues to be updated and evolves it will become more and more of a deal for $10. I can't wait to keep playing this game and checking it out again every update.
