The music is nice but ... It's Just Not "Fun". 1) The clues are on a separate screen, so you can't read and deduct at the same time. 2) The bloody timer, added to #1, is utterly annoying, along with the blasted "DONG" of the days. The timer should be an OPTION, not a default. 3) The Right-Click should cycle backward. The lack of it is doubly annoying with #2 4) There should be a GRID option for solving these, maybe use a small banner to show the suspects on the side or top as opposed to occupying the entire screen with relative nonsense. 5) If a choice has been locked for a suspect, it should be removed from the cyle of clicks for the others. 6) And with all this baloney, the achievements are supposed to be a achievable?! HA! Doing the harder levels under a DAY!?! Bull Cookies! Well, after deletion, I'm off to buy a Logic Puzzle magazine and have some real FUN.
Since i first came across the "Einstein riddle" (that only like 2% can solve, sure...) i wanted a game of it with two feature: more cases and better UI than my excel sheet to help with the elimination part. This game does the more cases. Basically infinitely more. They are randomly generated, so it is not likely you get the same one on higher leveles. On the other hand the randomness might varies the cases difficulty (at least for me). Unfortunatelly the UI is not even near to what i would like to use. Even if the elmination part (someone couldn't be chef since the chef is British and he is French and so) is hard to implement now, a starting neutral stage for all traits would be nice. And especially that if the cluebook wouldn't cover out everything. I thought the higher level speedrun achievements would be almost impossible even with these changes, but since some people already got them... well, hats of to them if they have done it fairly. So yeah, this games frustrates me a great deal, but i'm still coming back for more (which is a rare thing with my low tolarence for BS). Also hoping for a follow up with much better UI.

Did you enjoy the Jindosh riddle in Dishonored 2? Then this little logic grid puzzle game is for you. It offers exactly what it promises and has an infinite replay value since every case is randomly generated. The option to mod everything from the graphics to the clues is a neat feature - freshening up the visuals a bit actually does wonders after playing for some hours. The only thing I miss is a greater variety of clues and difficulty levels, as the majority up until the very last one tends to be a bit on the easy side. Not that it's a big issue. The game still offers good fun for a good price. Recommended!
Murder... is a simple deduction game, where you need to figure out the murderer based on logical deduction. I decided to give this game a negative rating, since the random murder case generator is flawed: 1) Sometimes, you get more clues than you need. 2) Sometimes, you get duplicate clues. 3) Sometimes, you get fewer clues than you need to solve the case. There are multiple possible solutions, and if you submit one that is consistent with the clues, but not the one that the game wants, the game insults you with a newspaper headline for failing the case ("Idiot Detective arrests wrong Person"). Now, I wouldn't necessarily say the game is bad. 1) makes the game a bit easy sometimes, and 2) could have been easily avoided, but both aren't game-breaking. 3) can be really annoying, but if you don't mind the occasional needless frustration, the game can still be fun. The background animations and the overall design are nice, and there are several unlockable themes. It's also possible to edit a theme, and change the descriptions of the different suspect characteristics. The font for the given clues looks good, and you can strike through used clues, or lock solved suspect characteristics with a checkmark. The game seems to be designed for small screens (smartphone?), and you can't fully see the suspects and the clues at the same time. You also have to switch between 2 pages of clues later on, even though both pages and all suspects could easily fit on the screen. Going for 100% achievements can be a pain: Some achievements require you to solve cases within a very short time, which is particularly frustrating since it's luck-based how difficult a case is to solve (or whether it can be reliably solved at all). There's also a silly achievement for failing 50 cases.
Conclusion
If you're looking for a casual deduction game, this game *can* be enjoyable, and the overall design is neat. But there's also some unnecessary frustration, and the random case generator could have been implemented in a better way.
https://youtu.be/fAfd0BZGPBM It was MURDER?!? This logic puzzle solving game tasks players to solve a crime with a very limited number of clues. The formula works but the game offers no UX support for laying out the logic grid.
Jeżeli chcecie zagrać w prawdziwa grę detektywistyczną, to lepiej zagrajcie w Murdered albo w klasyczny The Last Express. + Szukasz więcej recenzji gier? This "game" was aptly named after what I daydream about doing to most of you here on steam. One day my friends, one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ day.
Murder... is a procedurally generated logic puzzle game where you must logically deduce or infer the criminal in a murder based on a variety of statements provided in each round. The game is ultra simple, lacks depth (procgen isn't content), and despite being released on Steam in 2017, doesn't feature widescreen or HD support. The whole game could be done in a web browser. The $7.50 price tag is insultingly high for the low level of quality here. The many failings in the execution of this game makes it impossible for me to recommend.
Logical game that is good enough to be played. Some things can be done better, but in general game is not perfect but good
