Great little game, it's probably a bit too expensive for the amount of content it has but I think its definitely worth a play. Very good art style and fast, frantic gameplay.

fast + fun + very stylish 90s pastiche zoomer shooter "all shell, no ghost"
Pretty good, just don't expect replayability on the level of Post Void. The campaign is really fun the first two times, those being the normal and hard difficulties, as it throws in enough twists and new mechanics to stay interesting. My problem, however, is that after those playthroughs, you have to go back and play on the easiest difficulty because this game doesn't have stacking difficulty achievements. The S-rank also doesn't really make much sense to me, the game is all about speed, yet it only takes note of the enemy kill percentage for the score, meaning that you have to do that achievement on the easiest difficulty due to the backtracking needed. Endless mode is rather lacking due to the lack of possible room layouts, which means that they repeat constantly. Overall, Mullet MadJack has its downfalls, but I'd say it is pretty good, I'd even say it's worth the asking price. Just don't go in expecting a full-on roguelike. The 100% completion is tedious, but it is not that bad.
Mullet MadJack is an incredibly fast and fun retro shooter that perfectly nails its stylized 90s anime vibe. While some of the cinematic animations look surprisingly awful, the phenomenal, high-octane gameplay more than makes up for it.
This game rocks. It delivers on being an adrenaline fueled roguelike shooter, and because its so fast paced its easy to get into a loop of trial and error that doesn't feel like its ever too punishing. And the moment you get your flow? All the individually good and competent pieces of this game align and you feel like an unstoppable force of nature. You enter a room and leave it trashed with the corpses of your robotic foes littered everywhere. If that interests you, pick this game up and thank yourself later.
