A short game, but i think in these times, an important one. If you like mystery, finding your own way, and fumbling until you figure it out, this is the game for you.
A refreshing puzzle game that doesn't pre-chew its puzzles for you but invites you to experiment and figure its systems. I think anyone who enjoyed games like Myst would get a kick out of this too.
Mu Cartographer isn't like anything I've ever played before and I think that's its greatest strength. You are presented with a interface with no labels and no guidance. You learn by doing, wiggling each knob and eventually figuring out the mechanics of the game. Unfortunately once you figure out the main three search mechanisms, that's the whole game. Unlock clue, fiddle dials accordingly, find new clue, repeat. It took me 2 hours to complete (minus one secret). The music suits the game nicely. I found the story to be unengaging and, while I had discovered information about each of the main characters, I didn't really care about them. Reading comments, many people seem to find it meditative, but that wasn't an aspect that appealed to me. I wish I could give a neutral rating. I give a thumbs up because of its novelty and style, but wish it did more in other aspects.
Fun exploratory short game, gotta feel your way thru as opposed to receiving direct instruction. Funky visuals, pleasant audio. Nice and chill game. Love it.
As a cartographer and remote sensoring engineer i can tell it's a masterpiece ! Dev, if you're reading this, you did hit the exact spot of why i've always been drawn to earth observation And from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this game Hope your doing well <3
Nice game !
