Civil war has arrived in Uthania. The Ms. Squeaker's Home for the Sick children's hospital has been converted overnight by the S.R.M government to accommodate the flood of wounded and dying civilians. You will do your best to process the patients of war or risk termination from this position.

Interesting game with simple mechanics and an engaging story. Similar to "Papers Please" with the gameplay getting more difficult as new things to look for/other rules to follow get added. There's also quite a few decisions you have to make that seem to change the direction of the story. My favorite part is the world building and atmosphere of the game. It's a lot deeper than it appears at face value. I haven't finished it yet but with the branching story and decision making it looks like there's some replayability. Overall, could've been cheesy but it's actually a pretty mice game with an interesting tail.
This game is... 1- awwww they squeak! That's soooo adorable! ^3^ 2- Alright, bruised knees can be annoying... 3- *feels proud for receiving an innocent little mouse's drawing* 4- pfff itchy eyes, easy 5-*explosions**gunfire* Dafaq 6- Gouged eyes, broken snout, missing legs, chest impaled, exposed skulls - Oh my God what's happening!? 7- *Plot intensifies* 8- GONNA SAVE EVERYONE >:O - *stamp* *stamp* *stamp*
Nice funny little game, inspired by "Papers, please". Advantages: [olist] [*]Fast pace, it keeps you on alert the whole time. [*]You have to figure out on your own which stamp is appropriate to use under which conditions. The process of figuring it out is kinda fun. [/olist] Disadvantages: [olist] [*]Mouse-sized pixels. [*]Controls (or hitbox detection) is a bit clunky. [/olist]
Ms. Squeaker's Home for the Sick is an homage to Paper's Please and it does a wonderful job. The games pacing is fantastic, luring you in with a cute intro that sparks your curiosity while teaching the basic mechanics, before seamlessly throwing you into the middle of a war zone. The game challenging your beliefs by putting a time variable on everything. Initially I found myself admitting many people into Emergency Care in hope that they could be saved, even those with little chance. This caused those that really needed Emergency care to die in the waiting rooms. My favorite parts of the game is that you could be doing everything possible, and still struggle because of lack of space, the number of "LC is currently full" messages received made me question my decisions. Should I have let that last patient just go without seeing the doctor? Ms. Squeaker's Home for the Sick story is a lore heavy political drama. All the story decisions you make are impactful. There are many branching paths each with unique endings which makes for great replayability. Do you put the well-being of yourself, your family, or your country first?
Nice game. Very wholesome. The story takes an interesting turn eventually. However, the game is way too short; the story had potential and I think more could've done with it. Perhaps some more interaction or background about the patients, perhaps someone coming in Romano already knows? Nice debut game however; curious to see more of it.
Wholesome [spoiler] then gore [/spoiler]
Oh boy, what a journey! This is a great game that I had a blast playing! Oh how I long for the simpler days of only admitting kids with rashes into the hospital!
I have encountered a glitch while enjoying this game. when I get my vital stamp, I never get a list for the mice that are vital. game doesnt give me any new patients so Im stuck in an infinte loop. Please fix, I want to adavnce
I'm not a traitor, I'm a mouse of principles and standards, and if lives get in the way of those principles, so be it, I'd say I'm the better mouse here. Once they called me Romano, but when it's all said and done, they'll call me a Hero.
I hope the kid who likes music feels better =(
