Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very misleading game. You think you're buying a post-apocalyptic survival game, and you keep waiting for it - But it never comes. Requested a refund as soon as I realised, and it's been ignored multiple times. Do not buy if you're expecting anything like what I expected.
This game on Mac does not run by the time you get to the farm. Avoid for mac.

I took a nap, for today i was set on a TD bender! and boy was i kicking butt too, until i realised the gov, was at the front door... /sigh.. ... A brilliant game. Truly a diamond in the rough. i ignored it for some time thinking it would be shallow, a lot of these types are but Mr Prepper, is well made, it has character and depth. above and beyond and it's all nicely interwoven, with some flair. A great management game. ..Managing time is clever. Trade is fun, it's rewarding. Construction's great, it all looks good and the resource collection to go with it isn't a grind nor is it cheap. The NPC's are likable and the graphics' shiny where it should be. and then on top of that you're dealing with blackouts, hunger, sleep, water shortages and the gov, popping in just make sure everything is as it should be.. 'This war of mine' come to mind, in regard to locations but here the levels are in way more fleshed out, you could say less variety but more depth, deeper into the woods or further down the mineshaft or maybe floor it further into the desert, they're all a fun means to an end, aswell as other locations. Combat does what it does fair enough. Mr Prepper has a great economy and a clean juggle. It allows for some nice creativity and leaves you to ponder your goals, while trying to gtfo of dodge. Even the save system plays a part. The UI might take some getting used to but it's worth it, i've got no issue with it at all, maybe a middle mouse click map movement like steam does, but otherwise it's good, can get a litle cluttered but just, close the 'tab' I bought both DLC's, fresh run this time, then enabling both on the next play through.
Its pretty nice and long. Its not too hard and not too stale, just a bit slow. But i have two major problems, that really killed my mood. First the radio signal, In the glasses for bob you had at least a little clue of where to get it, but that you seperately have to use the antenna was really making me angry. Also the thing with the AI core. All the time you had to interact with things to complete them, but only here you have to manually grab it and drag it to the core base. This really made me angry about the game and i dont know if i will buy the DLCs after that. Like i said the game and the story was pretty nice, but these two moments really totally annoyed me.
Please add Ukrainian localization.
At first, I wasn't sure of what to make of this one. Could a game be fun if it was pretty much only the base-building section of X-COM 2? And my initial impression wasn't favorable: it seemed to have all of the downsides of a slow, dull farming game with all of the downsides of a game where the combat is basically "spam the attack button". And as I got out of the early game and realized that sooner or later, I was going to have to farm AND go to the mine AND go to the forest every day or most days... yikes. But once I got into the mid-game, Mr Prepper made a believer out of me: this is a game that gets progressively more fun the longer you play it! This applies to every system in the game. As you upgrade your workbench, the systems that you were sure could not be automated suddenly become automated -- sometimes without you noticing it. Farming becomes less of a chore as water transfers automatically into your crops. The mine becomes less of a chore as you gain the ability to refine your own fuel. That opens up the desert, which has more dynamic, fun combat... don't get me wrong, it's still not challenging but at least it becomes interesting and engaging. The forest never stops being a chore but at least you get some nice rewards out of it. As your various input materials improve, your ability to make money quickly improves, which in turn gives you the ability to automate more and more functions and before long you have a lovely little engine going. It was particularly interesting how all of this kind of snuck up on me: every time I played, my enthusiasm to play more went up. So kudos to the devs for building this fun, engaging system. I'm enjoying myself a lot! The graphics are... the graphics. They're about as good as they need to be for this kind of game. You'll never ooh or ahhh over your creations, but you'll get satisfaction out of setting them up and organizing them. The music and sound effects, likewise, is also just good enough to work. You'll quickly associate the sounds with what they mean in-game even if most of them don't make a lot of sense (the only exception to the odd status sounds is that you actually get a stomach growl sound when you're hungry). And finally, the story is just interesting enough to pull you along and keep you coming back for more. It's not a stand-out, but it's not a detriment either. So, all in all, there's a really good time to be found here, particularly at the most common price. 8/10.
While the game can be a bit of a slog in the beginning, Mr Prepper offers a lot that provides a very entertaining experience. While I did not play the base vanilla version on its own, the DLC helps make your bunker almost entirely self sustaining. My only remaining hopes for the future DLCs (what few there still are) would be the ability to bring trusted members into the bunker that provide assistance, more decoration items and the ability to upgrade materials, like beds/couches being improved to rest faster or fridges holding more/cooling longer
Boring tedious time-consuming garbage.
The whole paranoid bunker-building under a totalitarian regime is such a strong hook. Early on, the vibe and story really pull you in. Managing your shelter while pretending to be a loyal citizen is genuinely cool. But the time system is brutal. A simple walk across the house eats half your day. Try crafting, exploring, and keeping the inspector happy and suddenly you’ve accomplished nothing. It quickly turns into a grind fest with questionable balance and some janky combat. Great idea but way too much grind for me. https://howlongtobeat.com/user/mentalmynx/reviews/u-67677/1
