About
Moves Of The Diamond Hand is a first-person narrative RPG. It's set to the backdrop of a surreal dystopian jazz-drenched city. It builds on the gameplay of Cosmo D’s previous game, the award-winning Betrayal At Club Low. At the same time, it returns to the first-person perspective of Cosmo D’s previous games. Its dice-driven gameplay is deeper, the plot is richer and the scope is grander than ever.

A new day dawns in Off-Peak City. The legendary Circus X, an actual circus and artist crew of the highest caliber, is somehow back in town. And they’re ready to put on the show of a lifetime. You’ve arrived on the scene, ready to become a part of it and mint your destiny. But Circus X isn’t hiring, and there’s plenty of people who want a piece of the Circus X magic (and money). To become part of this elite crew, you’ll need to figure out a way in. Sure, you have some leads, but you also have trouble.
This trouble arrives during the strangest Mayoral election in the city’s history. One of the candidates isn’t even a real person, he’s the clone of a Mayor from a hundred years ago! The company that created him is betting on his success, but two rival candidates plan to stop him at all costs. To add to all this, someone called The Diamond Hand is playing all the sides against one another. No one knows who this Diamond Hand is or why they're causing trouble. But somehow you become enmeshed in this drama. Are you a potential collaborator, or a pawn in the Diamond Hand's game? Sure, you may be new to the neighborhood, but the Diamond Hand underestimates you. They all do.

Moves Of The Diamond Hand evokes the feel of a multi-session tabletop RPG experience. Your stats are all represented as dice. These dice offer opportunities for drama and strategy. Items are dice. Conditions are dice. Disguises are dice. These dice are all customizable in a myriad of different ways. Still, players have control over which dice to use, how to upgrade them and which ones they want to roll or keep close.

The story unfolds over five chapters of dubby jazz noir mystery. And you, along with your dice, will determine how it all plays out, right up to the very end.

Three very different mayoral candidates offer stark points of view and personality. But their race for The Key to the City is as close as it gets. You will help determine the outcome of their contest. Your choices will shape your own destiny in the neighborhood, too. The game lets you decide who to side with, who to help and who to hinder.

This game’s setting immerses players in a surreal lived-in neighborhood. It's full of odd characters, each with their own agendas, perspectives, and secrets. Many of them have connections to previous Cosmo D games, but knowledge of those games is not required.

Cosmo D games put a premium on head-nodding music and thick atmosphere. This game continues to elevate the approach.

Given the depth and breadth this game, we’re opting for an Early Access model, releasing each chapter one at a time. The Chapter 1 is free for all to experience and will release as a demo. Chapter 2 is available for Early Access release. Combined, both chapters provide hours upon hours of fun, with multiple quests and pathways to lose yourself in. Future chapters will release throughout the Early Access period. Anyone who buys this game in Early Access will gain access to all released content as soon as it’s ready. During the Early Access period, players can also opt-in to try or test content ahead of schedule.
We aim to keep the development process transparent and open to player feedback. All players will have access to a bug reporting and feedback menu in-game. Bug fixes, balance adjustments and quality-of-life improvements will be continuous. Your patience and trust in our process will help get this game finished on schedule and as good as it can be.

Another instant Cosmo D classic. It's a dice rolling RPG where your dice are pizzas that you bake. The writing is whimsical and fascinating and the encounters are all unique and interesting. If you're into surreal games but with a solid gameplay backbone I'd recommend this.
Surreal, ethereal, mesmerizing. The writing isn't pretentious college student trash like a lot of the games in this niche unfortunately are, it's refreshingly straightforward. World design feels like an old school immersive sims; Small in scope, but absolutely packed with things to see and do, instead of vice versa like modern AAA games. Soundtrack bangs too, as always from Cosmo D. Can't wait for more.
Innovative gameplay with a surprising amount of depth set in an intriguing world. Looking forward to the following chapters.
fun and in depth. I like surreal worlds to explore
Even in its unfinished state, this game and the creator are well worth your money. Rolling dice is always a good time, especially when the dice are insane. I simply cannot wait for the full release of this game, and once you play, you won't be able to wait until the full release either.
nearly 10 hours of fun already and the game ain't even done, and there's still some more i could do! the only bug i encountered was swiftly resolved by the developer once i reported it. buy it and support cosmo d even if u wanna wait for the full release, it's already a ton of fun
Music, atmosphere, characters, everything's like in the older Cosmo games just on steroids. The only downside is the fact u can easily grind health and mana so it isn't as punishing as before, so if u already played Betrayal At Club Low and u know the basics or if u played the demo I recommend u to play on higher difficulty instead of normal. I would also like to compliment the story, so far there's only 2 chapters as I'm writing this, and in these 2 chapters pretty much everything's connected. Also I would like to point out the different views on things from npcs, you will talk with one npc who will tell u his point of view on something, then you will go to the other one who says totally different thing from the first one, and they all have a pretty solid arguments for their opinions so it makes you thing about the topic, but also a possibility of one lying and potentially using u to get to his goal. Ofc your not rly a good guy here, cus ur using a campaign to get to ur own goal, making you pretty much a bad guy in the story, no? U can choose who you will promote for campaign and who you will sabotage, making sure ur candidate will be on top with votes, and all of this settles a good ground for future story which you will probably be able to alternate based on your actions. Cosmo kinda put a hard task in front of himself with this one but if he pulls it all together I think it will be great. Also I recommend anyone who was invested enough in reading this review to buy the game, especially if u like weird and abstract motives in the games, after all if you spent ur time reading this it means u were thinking about buying it, and I can say with certainty that its worth every penny. 10/10 experience
Despite its unfinished state, Moves of The Diamond Hand has already shown itself to be an uniquely creative game. This is my first game from Cosmo D, yet I already saw clearly the great talent they have in the art direction, story writing and world building departments. If you have the demo installed and considering if you should get this game (whether in Early Access or at release), I highly recommend it as the (WIP) chapter 2 surpasses the demo Chapter 1 in many surprising ways. Also, the game is amazingly optimized even on my almost-nonexistent Intel Iris Integrated Graphics. I trust that this game will be absolutely amazing at release.
Very fun, great atmosphere, I wish a tiny bit for more varied music like the other games but honestly that's being picky. I'm engaged with the story and am finding the huge chapter 2 a bit overwhelming in the best way. Can't wait for more!
Similar to Cosmo D last game (Betrayal At Club Low). Moves of the Diamond Hand is a dice rolling RPG game where you're going to resolve sitations by rolling your own dice, split into 7? skills that you can improve with XP, against your opponents. The start of the game can feel a bit unfair, but as you improve your dice and get some tresholds it becomes more and more manageable. The game gives you many choices to approach and resolve situations, with many ways to give you an edge. During the demo I felt a bit stuck at some point because my dices were too weak to solve some situations, haven't had that problem with the current state of the game... All in all, still an early access game so can be a bit rough around the edges, with some missing pieces of content, but haven't encountered any bugs. Definitely recommend if you liked the previous game ! If you like probabilities and edging your bets it's a great pick in that category.
