Experienced on a Meta Quest 2 using airlink. Moto Trophy VR is an arcade, Road Rash style, top down VR motorbike racing game. You race across mountain courses, where the opponents will do anything to take you down off your bike. This gave me Road Rash vibes from back in the 90s. During the races, you will have to take down the opponents, stay on your bike, collect power ups and coins and finish first. Completing a race will earn you coin, which you can then use after the race to purchase more bikes or upgrade the ones you have. The races start off easy, but grow more difficult later on, and your upgrade choices will really count in winning. The gameplay is from a top down view, which works really well in VR. It gives you a clear look at what's coming up on the track and you are able to keep an eye on the other bikers. The game world looks nice. Its not state of the art graphics, but it has that arcade charm to it, that keeps you immersed. The game has three methods of control. Keyboard, game controller and of course the VR motion controls. I used the VR controllers and found the game to handle wonderfully. The handling took a little getting use to and upgrades helped work out the weak spots for better control. As I said the game gave me Road Rash vibes. Swinging your bike towards the other bikers and unleashing a kick to take them down felt great. There are also power ups and booms you can use to take down the other riders. Careful though, they can use the same dirty tricks to take you down. This was a fun arcade VR bike racer with just the right amount of combat thrown into the mix. Collecting coins and power ups during the races was fun, and reminded me a bit of Mario Kart. Purchasing new bikes and powering them up is a great feature and a must to go on to future races. If you are looking for a fun simple arcade motorbike racer with upgrades, this is a great title to try out. Watch my preview here, https://youtu.be/acYIDK1uU7A
