MorphVOX Pro 5 - Voice Changer

It's a pretty decent Voice Changer. I don't understand all the hate. It works as it should for me, and the voices sound great. The only problems I have with it is the fact that I need the old version to buy more voices and the fact it cost me over £30. A ridiculous price for a small software like this, but whatever.

I'm not sure if this is AI-powered or just using filters. But so far, the software is still looking good and functional especially if used with external [b]Text-To-Speech AI Voice Generators[/b] and/or with the [b]Effects Rack plugin[/b] to expand the different voices you can create. I've encountered several bugs though but it's mostly with the effects plugin, other conflicting software running, and/or incompatible VSTs. I was able to manage these problems though. Here are some of the bugs I encountered and remediation I did: --- Using the [b]Effects Rack plugin[/b], the program will show an Error Prompt Window if you click the 'X' close icon inside the GUI of an Effect Widget/Node. Click the [b]Continue[/b] button if this happens as the [b]Quit[/b] button will crash the program. --- When specifying directory path for VSTs under Preferences in the [b]Effecst Rack plugin[/b], if you are having problems loading those effects, try to select one folder deeper. Don't forget to click the Refresh button afterwards. --- For compatibility, I ended up just using the older VST format instead of the 64-bit VST3. Some incompatible VSTs will usually crash the software. Thus it is advised to separate the directory where you place the VSTs you use with MorphVox Pro and what you use in your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). --- Make sure you don't have other software running that takes control of your Mic and/or listening hardware device. Turn off your DAW if you have them running. Restart MorphVox Pro 5 or your computer afterwards. --- If your audio was cut-off or you can't hear it, try adjusting your Audio Input and Output settings under Control Panel -> Hardware & Sound -> Sound. Choose your active Speaker/Earphone under the Playback tab and the Mic ("Screaming Bee Audio") under the Recording tab. I do hope the developers will continue to [b]fix and update[/b] this software as I can still see it's potential. Maybe enable support for the newer VST3 format. This would be extra awesome if [b]Krotos' Simple Monsters[/b], [b]Dehumaniser 2[/b], and/or similar vocal effects plugins will become compatible with it. The feature of sharing custom voices made by users of the program will be a great addition too if ever and will probably increase community activity. Maybe any saved [b]Custom Voice Profiles[/b] by users can be uploaded and shared in the [b]Steam Workshop[/b] so as to save on Server Hosting cost. Moreover, I think it's time to change those old sound pack icons and let them have a more modern look. hehehe :-P Having an indicator icon that a particular [b]Voice/Sound Pack[/b] is a [b]Premium[/b] type and require additional purchase would be nice as well. Finally, I also recommend delving into integrating features powered by [b]Artificial Intelligence[/b] as competitors utilizing the tech. are fast approaching. I plan to use this software to generate custom voices for some characters in a game I am planning to build and maybe as narrator voice for a few Youtube videos. I still need time to further evaluate this software of course to actually see if it is fitting and to know it's quirks. So far, I am satisfied for the sale price I got this. But I will be disappointed if I bought it for a much higher price as the software is already showing its age. Anyhow, I wish good luck to the developer and thanks for adding this in Steam. I believe that added an extra layer of protection and convenience. :-)

It is pretty okay, but it is a lot of fiddling to get it to come out without crackling. I am not going to use it more than I already have but I do not NOT recommend it. It is pretty decent, but I can't recommend it at full prize. Wait for a sale, I got it for cheap via Humble Bundle.
