Binding covenant is a terrible idea. Versatile team building is fun, but then you discourage that versatility by introducing binding covenant, one covenant, one character. So it artificially makes the game more grindier while also make it more rigid, less interesting. Powercreeping is so severe. New characters are stronger than old characters so much, while old characters struggle to deal 10k damage, new characters can deal 100k with minimal effort. Main story is good. Psychic deep dive (new character event story) are shallow and boring. Is it that hard to write a fun adventure with recurring characters? There are so few characters in event story. You have such a big cast but you don't use them, why don't you let existing characters appear in the event and talk to the new character more often? Even player character become a nameless NPC with no roles in some psychic deep dive.

The game is great. I really love the diverse characters, their unique playstyles, the engaging story filled to the brim with references to lovecraft, beautiful art, and f2p friendly nature. Until the recent 2.6 changes to the endgame mode D-tide (making it so that certain characters that could do percent based damage and cheese or meta strats being manditory to clear the highest level and removing a lower difficulty level), how they would conveniently "fix" the corpo+horla WoD combo right after running their banners back to back effectively nerfing the character right after you got everyone to pull her, and nerfing affinity leveling to hell, effectively forcing people to buy the tokens to skip levels for an insane amount of rose script. In this state I cannot recommend you spend any money, or if this continues, time, on this game as they are actively adding more things to push the player base into whaling or being left behind.
If you're going to start, I don't recommend it. There’s a patch that the users have been pushing back against, so I waited for the developers’ response, but the answer I got was incredibly disappointing. They seem to be stubbornly convinced that they’re in the right.
2.6 killed the game
Morimens is in a bad spot and the views of the development team make it difficult for me to believe it will be getting much better. In a single patch they: - "Fixed" a "bug" that was a 2+ Year long interaction, nerfing an above average at best unit by 20%. This also cost players real life money when they reran the character and the wheel responsible for the interaction right before the nerf. - Overhauled the affinity system giving an average time to max out a stat that previously took 30 minutes to take well over quadruple the time. - Overhauled the endgame, killing early investment endgame entirely, butchering the progression of endgame, and inflating hp and damage by close to 20 times. YES 20x HIGHER HP. - Decided that the controversial divine realms would replace all current realm options on future characters without exception. When it comes to the lead producers response to these issues, they just completely ignored everything. They gave out 100 limited time pulls that wont even last until the next patch, said "Im sowwy :(", nerfed the hp by 50% in the mid levels for the NEXT rotation, and moved on. Currently the lead producer is posting about cosmetics in the discord and informing the community that they don't actually care about any of the issues people have with the latest update. I generally am of the opinion that the players shouldn't be involved in the balancing for the game. However, when the developers are so inept that they cant even test new features before rolling them out to the wider playerbase, saying sorry and then doing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, maybe we would be better suited to making an enjoyable game. I was planning to spend money to secure E3 Kath during her rerun soon, but seeing as the new endgame basically boxes out 95% of teams including all of my current favorites I find it hard to have the motivation to even boot up this game. Its a shame that I finally found a favorite gacha and it almost immediately shoots itself in the foot. Being as this game just barely survived an EOS scare I suggest Light takes a bit more caution with what they roll out if they want to stay in business. I see the distributor for the JP version is down 60% since publishing Morimens. I really like this game and want to be optimistic but every day the odds of this game turning around from here seem slimmer and slimmer.
i hope they fixed the dtide and actually listen to the feedbacks, this is currently my favorite and comfort game but i might have to move on seeing that the game might be speeding up to EOS
English, PT-BR abaixo While I loved playing the game at first, the current state of the game causes me concern for its future. - Shop update with the intention to make purchases better ended up increasing the cost of important progression materials, difficulting the economy for new players. - Nerf disguised as a bugfix for an interaction between character and equipment that existed since the character was launched over a year ago and openly known as BiS for all the community, right after both went through a rerun one after the other, giving it a even more scummy look. - Changes to affinity systems that demand a insane amount of time investment for a cosmetic that is barely noticeable and could easily be something better with 5 minutes on Photoshop. - Changes to endgame content that power creeps 90% of the roster with insane damage and HP bloat enemies, while gate keeping pull rewards on difficulties for whales that even they can't easily clear. This changes also reduced the rewards that F2P/starting accounts can get on that mode, severely delaying progression for those accounts as unique materials are gatekept for higher difficulties that need those materials to be cleared. - Lack of communication for the things above. Ever since the update dropped the devs have been silent ignoring the community criticism about the changes that shouldn't have made past QA. In any other circumstances I would have song praises for this game. But due to the current state and the fear of what might happen if this and many other issues aren't addressed, I leave this negative review until things get better.
I can no longer support this game. Using the term "Bug Fix" sounds like classic shady corporate double speak. I don't buy it.
This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, the gameplay is really cool, the artstyle and the character designs are really unique and also cool as ♥♥♥♥, the story is...extremely interesting if you're into the Cthulhu Mythos, but it's very badly translated. So, why is this a negative review? Because in the single month i've played, i've seen as the game has gotten worse for no reason, and instead of any sort of fixes, the developer's response has been "ah, gomen oomf chan" and silence. I was previously excited to take part in the endgame mode because it looked very neat and challenging, the literal next day after i first finished it, they decide to make it harder for whales, except, instead of adding extra difficulties for them; they make *less* difficulties but make all of them *a lot harder*, like *you need to have 4 extremely whaled out dudes that are also extremely meta to even think about clearing this* hard. This is also the only one of these games i've played where they actively nerf characters, and i now understand why people rarely do it! They also made a JP server where they implemented god-awful changes for no reason that also make the game more whale-focused, and they're slowly bringing them to the global server, so that's awesome too. This game is awesome and i really wish it could shine, but all my goodwill has been spent in the month or so i've played and i have 0 hope it'll get better with how incompetent the dev team is (specifically the producer, who keeps making god-awful community posts that show he has no idea why he keeps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up).
Last patch messed up the game. Morimens used to be one of the friendliest Gachas out there. I used to recommend it for people to try, but not anymore with the recent update 2.6. Lots of unnecessary nerfs just after the rerun of said nerfed characters, and D-Tide seems to be an untested mess. Recently released characters become barely useful. I was hoping for more balance, but it seems that the game is heading in another direction.
