Fun little game, but not a very big fan of the generative AI use that replaced the perfectly good original art. Cannot in good conscience recommend this game. There's an option to disable it, but the fact that it exists at all-- as well as replacing the promotional art-- is quite unfortunate.
Great, well-made, unique game. Who the actual ♥♥♥♥ cares if they used AI art? It's so irrelevant. Game is a labor of love. Totally recommend.
It's basically a c-tier Lemmings clone with some sluggish movement like Prince of Persia, but the game is bloated with AI art that looks horrible. The character animations are awkward and their pixels are too blurred, and the AI art has that glossy look that sticks out like a sore thumb, overall the game is just ugly. It also requires 8GB RAM minimum and uses too much processing power for a simple Lemmings clone. There are far better Lemmings games out there without AI slop plastered all over them so just skip this.
I bought this game before I knew gen AI art was used and before I saw ai generated promotional materials, but knowing that was used in the creation of this game, I can't in good conscious give anything but a thumbs down. Very sad to see a small indie dev trash their own artform and reputation by using gen AI.
не понравилась! постоянно спотыкаешься об невидимые пиксели :steamfacepalm: да еще и периодически вылетает на steam deck (например, на 10 уровне). хотя на странице этой игры показательно добавлено видево игрового процесса на деке ХD
Moons of darsalon is sort of a modern taken on lemmings, in a way. Other charaters won't follow you in a stupid way like the lemmings, but they will still need some guidance. The game is really physic based in many areas, with liquid physic and the vehicle terrain movement which makes the whole package quite impressive. From a technical level the game captures the old pixel art style perfectly, but it remains more of the Sierra like games, things like Larry 6, king quest, is closer to the emotion the graphics provide to me. Also there is the light system that looks really good for this sort of game. If you like sort of puzzle adventure, 2d games, I am sure you will have fun with this one.
https://youtu.be/0WBrgEc0E2E Beautifully frustrating the semi-lemmings semi-oddworld semi-destruction gameplay feels fresh and unique.
No me gusta que el jeugo piense que tu ya sabes que tienes que hacer, minimo pongan una pista no se,lo que sea, tenia expectativas pero bueno
It's not a hard game, the objective of every level is actually quite clear. Its a frustrating game. The companion AI can be incredibly dumb, its annoying that I have to light every cave in order for them to follow me, they have no sense of the surroundings and most of the times they will hurt themselves at the slight chance they got, most likely for them to make a random bad jump that will ruin the run. The camera movement is incredibly annoying, when you move to a direction, the camera will slightly move to the direction you are going, but its not smooth at all, so it goes kinda crazy to the point its annoying. The stealth level just sucks. The build gun is not very precise and a pain in the ass to use most of the times (at least with a controller, which is what the dev tells you to use). I get where the dev was going with this game and I can appreciate all the tech behind the game like the destruction system, shadow system, all the animations, etc. But if it was not so much a trial and error type game I would have enjoyed it more, that said, in the two hours I played, the game crashed twice and there where bugs like enemies not resenting properly, so when I enter again on the level, the enemy that killed me stayed there and another one appeared, and killed me again before me reaching the weapon.
