so bad!!!
Tags: Adventure - Sidescroll Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Short game. Slow navigation. Zoomed in all the way. Mediocre presentation. Lack of directions. Not fun.
I like it.
Slow-paced pixel art exploration about grief and cryptids. The forest feels alive with day cycles, weather and insects doing their thing. Photographing creatures is the highlight, each one a small puzzle to figure out. The story is understated and won't hold your hand, which fits. Just don't go in expecting action.
Very interesting way of story telling and I found the discovery / exploration gameplay rather fun. But cave/mine/etc areas break everything game teaches early with no crystals/camera-discoverable trails/etc. Menu has no volume control, and no log/journal of found/missing so after +6 hours I was missing 3 cyrstals some creatures, etc and had to use a game walkthrough to find them all and I was able to finish the game after over 8 hours. Although I thought about finishing game by going past the pic hall without all cyrstals. Higly recommend playing without no guides until getting firmly stuck, or want to 100% the game.
