wow much selling crazy -.- 5/5 Would do it again
i understand why people would like this title, but its not for me

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Лол. 72% положительных. Я не люблю этот жанр, но ИГРА ОЧЕНЬ ХОРОША. Это прям кайф.
So far it feels like a grind, but a grind I can get behind
There is a significant memory leak. After 1–2 hours, the game starts freezing so badly that I have to restart it. I’ve even lost a dungeon runs because of screen freezes. Lowering the graphics quality settings from high to the lowest possible doesn’t help at all
Eine richtig gelungene Verbesserung des ersten Teils. Die Kämpfe sind dynamischer, die Dungeons abwechslungsreicher und der Mix aus Erkunden, Beute sammeln und Shopmanagement macht wieder richtig Spass.
So far I havent had any performance issues whatsoever like some reviews claim. As for the game itself - I'm sorry to say but I still prefer Moonlighter 1 in almost every aspect. Its still a good game!! But it has certainly lost a lot of its charm and feels rather repetitive with not much changing between runs when it comes to perks or enemies even though it feels more like a standard Roguelike now. That being said I will still reccomend this game even with a heavy heart because it's still fun, though just not as much as I maybe hoped. I still love the developers and general idea of the game very much! So I will see what the future brings, though they probably sadly wont go back to pixel art.
Great Sequel and builds excellently on the first Moonlighter. Dungeons are now paths where you choose the path you want to proceed with, with different rewards (Combat Perks, Loot Chest, Semi-Random Events). Path choosing like in Slay the Spire.
A total of 3 Dungeons with subsequent 2 Levels make for a total of 6 dungeons + 4 Boss Rush "Dungeons".
Bosses in the Dungeons are redoable as many times you want. Loot overhauled, it's still amassing hordes of loot like a loot goblin, but each loot chest is much more potent than in the Prequel and has a whole more meaning in opening a chest. To put it simply less chests but the loot you get makes a bigger difference. Also Interesting new mechanics for the loot/relic-curse system for each biome. Weaponsystem is now you pick a weapon class of 4 (sword, greatsword, spear, fist) and then there are variations of these with different perks, making their playstyle even in weapon class different. Weapons don't have level anymore like in the prequel, which affected their damage, but now the upgrade only affects the weapon perk, which makes the combat perks you gather during a dungeon run your main source of damage increasement. You got a gun now permanently with you, easily recharged by melee damage.
Or later using the patch of passive ammo regeneration (my beloved).
Selling mostly stayed the same imo, with a bit flavour of rogue elements, getting perks the more you progress with a current day. Btw increasing money worth is i think only of the base price, so i found increasing tips in the end more worthwhile.
Negatives/Bugs:
I did not like the mechanics of some bosses locking you out of damaging them and watching a "cutscene" playout.
E.g. Prince doing his tornado thing for a while after hitting phase 2 or scarab king doing his long winded cutscenes. Other boss mechanics were fast enough or ok.
Ig this matters only if you do them again and again. They are not that long, but it still adds up. Finding Anacard Quest seems to be bugged as of today 09.09.2026 maybe they will fix it someday. I completed the quest by editing a n to y in the save file (seems other people also have this problem so a quick google search helped). In
Aeolia
i was once in the
Colloseum
and there i got locked out of doing anything except walk after grappling one of the hooklines. So there were still enemies but all i could do was walk around and do nothing, except die, which ruined about ~40 mins playtime. In Kalina me and the Boss killed each other and i chose to do the dungeon over, but then i got locked out of doing anything, neither controller nor keyboard and mouse accepted any input and Will was just standing there, not giving a damn. So far only 1 crash, not sure what lead to it. All in all would recommend very fun game.
I am also a person that has come from playing the first game, so I wanted to add my 2 cents as well. Game Identity: Honestly, this sequel does not feel like the stain on the franchise that a lot of the other reviews are painting it to be. To be fair, I have not played the first game in quite some time, so that could be clouding my judgement a bit- but I have been having a genuinely good time with this game. I have been finding it just as hard to put down as the first game. Sure the art style is very different, and so to some it may lose some of that charm, but this art style doesn't feel lifeless or anything of the sort. I think the game still looks very pretty. Not to mention the awesome soundtrack of the game. Therefore, I feel like this sequel is able to bring its own kind of charm that is just different from the first game. Personally, I am fine with that because I still find it an enjoyable and addicting experience. Combat: As for the combat and dungeon crawling, I have not felt like combat is "floaty" like other reviewers have described it. Maybe that is because I am a big fan of Indie games, so I have a lot of experience with what "floaty" combat can truly feel like, but I do think the combat has some weight to it. I really enjoy the new weapon mechanics in this game. It is fun to switch up which weapon I am using for each run and see which perks build into it best. I also enjoy how each weapon type has a special which is worked into the basic attacks nicely. Dungeon Crawling: In writing this review and reflecting on the first game, I think this is the part I miss the most from the first game. I think I do prefer the dungeon crawling more than the roguelike "chosen path" implementation they use here in the second game. This is not to say that is it down poorly, or not fun, but I just enjoyed the exploration that the first game offered with the dungeon crawling game design more. I also miss getting drops from different mobs within the dungeons. You still get drops in this game, but the resources are for upgrading only, and not for selling. You only sell the relics you get within chests at the end of certain rooms. In theory, this may turn a lot of people off from the game, but I think they did a good job here making sure that the game is balanced towards this design shift. Because you don't bring as many relics/objects to sell from the dungeon anymore, the prices of the relics have increased a good bit in this game. Moreover, there are certain days where relics from a particular dungeon, or of a certain rarity, will sell at a better price automatically. I think the design shift is different, but not all that bad. Store: The store is still fun to run and I enjoy decorating it differently every so often. There are cool new additions, like furniture that have special effects and new counters to place relics on that grant different boons. I don't really have much else to say here, because it is still a fun experience. There are likely some differences I can't remember, but I guess you could say they aren't big enough for me to feel strongly enough to notice them in the first place. Overall: I have been enjoying this sequel just as much as the first game. There are design differences, but I genuinely do not mind them and even look forward to exploring them more as I continue to play. The world is fun and vibrant, the mechanics are pretty solid, the soundtrack is fantastic, and relic/store management is fun. The only piece I can't talk much on is the performance. I have absolutely no problem running the game, and it is smooth the entire time I play it. However, I have a beefier computer- so I would hope this would be the case for the most part.
