I played this on Gamepass when it released and bounced off due to the screen tearing and lack of other options. I really wanted to like this game and always had it on my radar to go back to. Now I got it on deep discount and things have improved, but the overall sense I get from this game is "unpolished." So much so that I feel like the devs just stopped at some point and pushed it out. There are so many little issues that add up to a confusing experience. - objectives markers don't tell you what task it is when hovering over them on the map. There's no way to point you to a specific objective. - there seems to be no consistency in the controls. Tasks are spread between A and B buttons and it's incredibly annoying to never really develop that muscle memory because these switch with every other command. - way too many button presses to do things. Want to cook something? Press A to cook, select how many fish you want to use, Press A to confirm? No, press Start. Give someone their task item: Press A to select the task, select how many to give them (even if they only want 1), press Start to confirm. Pressing Start to confirm anything is ridiculous in-game. - save the game? Go to the menu and press save. Usually you'll want to overwrite the previous save. Press A? B? Start? No, press Y, then A to confirm. - I think the most damning indication of the unpolished nature of this game is the default selection when you start the game is New Game instead of Load Game or continue. Every time you play, you have to navigate to Load Game and select you save. This is game dev 101.

Holy hell, the controls are awful, the tutorial is almost impossible and quitting the game is harder than all of Elden Ring's boss fights

A really charming little game! Was afraid it would have a bunch of bugs based on the reviews but the bugs I've seen haven't been game breaking. If I reload my save it usually fixes the problem. The humor is surprisingly great, really funny without trying too hard or being too cheesy. I play it on Steam Deck and it's great, already set up for controller so no fiddling with controller settings. Edit: I've finished the main story and all the side quests and am happy to report there were no game breaking bugs! Really sweet little game. It could explain some things better but you can probably find the help you need online.

love the game but gave up on catching the lightning fish. no care if this is a spoiler, the game play doesn't match the challenge. at least add an accessibility feature to make that easier and progress the story. this fricking sucks. it's supposedly a chill fishing game, got me all stressed out after 7 hrs wtf is that ♥♥♥♥

I want to love this game. I want to love this game SO BADLY. The art: lovely, the music: chill, the writing (so far): tear-jerking, the vibes: on-point, controls (for keyboard): not great probably better with controller, the glitches: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EVERYWHERE!! Most of the glitches are livable. Getting stuck in objects, broken quest markers, "Help me I'm stuck" button 5 years after launch to being locked behind a boss fight glitch that I have no way of fixing (including starting a whole new save file, I've tried). I want to love this game and forgive its many flaws but I CAN'T GET PAST THE FIRST BOSS.

listen, when i tell you i cant move at all i am not joking. All i can do i spin my character real fast like a middle age bay blade on god on god, i have tried everything, restarting the game files 5 TIMES IN A ROW problem still there, delete and download again PROBLEM STILL THERE, restarting my pc PROBLEM STILL THERE, I RESTART THE ELECTRICITY ON MY WHOLE HOUSE AND PROBLEM STILL THERE. i have ran out of things to restart so with a ache on my heart i must not recommend this game (unless you have more things that you can restart) hopefully the developer of this game will find a calling in my very very and i mean VERY serious and intimidating review to fix the bugs in this game. have a blessed day folks
