Warning: This game is crammed full of monsters, cake, amazing powers, puzzly bits, epic adventure, witty repartee, secret paths, unlockable characters, silly hats and a wiener dog. Use caution if you are allergic to fun or overly sensitive to cake-related pathos.

Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake is a good old Classic I used to Love playing this game when I was little, back when it was on iPad so you can only guess how Happy I was to find it on available for Sale on Steam it was fun returning to it now that I'm older and better at solving Puzzles, I finally was able to get past the one level that puzzled me for Years oh and Good News it works really well on the Steam Deck This game was a lot of fun to revisit 8/10 Bowie Approved I wish there was more too it or a sequel ):
First things first: i AM able to play this game on OS 15.5 Sequoia!!! I'm playing it RIGHT NOW!!! Mac users should at least try it -- you can always get a refund if it doesn't work for you. Dooooooo it!! This is one of my all-time favorite games. I've spent quite some time searching for sequels or clones, with no luck so far. ...which seems really WRONG to me because the gameplay is unique, it's cake-centered, and the dialogue is pretty amusing. For context, i disagree with roughly 99% of other reviews that say that about other games. Oh, and also: i'm an adult who never played this as a kid. In case you were wondering whether it might amuse only children or nostalgia-seekers. How the game works is this: On each level, the main character is in a maze with some cake scattered about. He can't reach all of it by himself, so there are up to three monsters in there with him to help out. Each monster has a special power to pass or remove certain obstacles: shattering crystals, tunneling under walls, busting up stumps, freezing water, etc etc. To win, you'll have to change characters several times, cooperatively clearing and passing obstacles until all the cake is et. ..."Et," it's the past tense of "eat." ... In some places. This game is so awesome, i'm going to recommend you wait until it's NOT on sale to buy it.
This game needs to be seen by more. The graphics and music are so charming and the puzzles are just hard enough for anyone to pick up the game. The whole merry team of merry (and flatulent) monsters are all cute and have interesting mechanics that mix together so well. I did not have to pay for the game (i was gifted it) but its ONLY 8 DOLLARS. FOR SUCH A CHARMING GAME! its just so simple and casual and cute. you wont be surprised that much but im havin fun so too bad
i can still write a review, yet its not in my steam library??????????
Fun game that I played as a kid. Would recommend
