Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake

I've been playing this game since I was young and I just discovered it was available on Steam after years of thinking it was gone forever. I'm back to playing it again, and it's still as great as I remember.

Old Childhood Game. glad to see its on steam. 10/10

I love this game. I have loved it for 10 years now. It is one of 4 games I know of that I have gone out of my way to buy more than once. I remember seeing it advertised on Cartoon Network and blowing my Christmas/Birthday money on it in late December of 2014. I played it all the way and beat it 100%. I loved it so much that when, years later, it stopped being available on iOS, I literally emailed CN staff asking about it. I remember eventually realizing, and I remember this from the ad, that the game came out on iOS AND Steam. At the time, I didn't know what Steam was, but years later, I did. And I bought it again. and I've never been happier. I keep playing it on and off for years, just like I did on my iPad as a kid, but now on Steam. If this game could ever get, like, a sequel or merch or something, I would literally blow my life savings on funding it myself. Granted, that's not much, but I'm willing to do it anyways. If it's possible to mod this game or make more of it in any way, I want it to be done. -A lifelong fan

Uh growin' up. Man.. I spent HOURS of my life attackin'... Boogins in the game Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake. This game is amazing. 9.5/10

This game is one of my all time favorites. It features a fantastic, unique story, incredible music, adorable art, and lovable characters. It maintains a sense of quality without being overly complicated. I've played it at least three times and I still love it.

when i was a wee lad, i would play the hell out of this game on my ipad, pretty much whenever i had time. you can imagine my excitement when i discovered that it existed on steam. i immediately bought it and installed it, and i am happy to report it is just as fun as i remember it being when i was 9 years old. the humor may be a bit dated, but it’s damn near ten years old at this point, so that’s to be expected. everything else, the sprites, gameplay, the incredible soundtrack by Disasterpeace, all still holds up pretty well to this day. this game is definitely worth the 8 bucks.

I played through this when I was really young, and managed to 100% the game on mobile. I managed to rebuy it on steam, and 100% it here too. For a kids puzzle game made for mobile, it is very high quality for its time. 9/10.

really strong start but ending fell victim to writing everything into the sequel that doesn't exist. really fun puzzles though!
